So, what does it mean at this point for those of us who have not received JS1s but have also not been dinged? Are we still thinking more JS1s are possible?

This wave was terrifying. I think that more JS1's have got to happen soon. If you look at the graph for this year vs. last year or the year before they haven't done any of the candidates along the border between the rejections and acceptances. I think some of us are probably going to get waitlisted but at least some have got to get a JS1 and JS2.

Definitely still possible, as are WL-JS1s.

However, I think we should also prepare ourselves for a couple more waves of dings. Looking at LSN for last year (http://harvard.lawschoolnumbers.com/app ... t=decision), go to the second page and check out the waves. It looks like today/yesterday's rejection waves roughly correspond with last year's 2/28 rejection wave. There were two more groups of ding waves following this, on 3/14 and 3/25-27. Whooooomp :|

But there was also a wave of acceptances on 3/9, prior to those two subsequent waves of dings.

I would think they'd need to hand out a few more JS2s (if only to have a good number of people attend the second ASW)

Does anyone know (roughly) how many people usually attend ASWs?

Assuming class size doesn't change significantly from last year, and that FB participation is the same as last year, HLS has accepted about 39% of the applicants it will ultimately accept this cycle.

HLS c/o 2018 FB group = 270 members
HLS c/o 2017 FB group = ~700 members

That means we've got a long way yet to go. I can't imagine that the forthcoming JS2 wave will be the last this cycle.

I know waiting is no fun, but I don't see any reason to give up hope unless/until you are rejected. Until that point, there is still a chance that you will have another outcome. How big that chance is depends on each individual, but if they were already sure they wanted to ding you, they'd have done it!

On that note, I am sorry to all of the dings from yesterday and today, and good luck to everyone still waiting.

Dinged 1 hour ago. Kind of expected it since I haven't heard anything since going complete in october. Pretty sure I'll be heading to Chicago this year

Does anyone have that list of first-JS2-of-the-day on hand? Have we likely passed today?

Given that it's already 3 PM EST, I'm thinking it's probably too late for them to start doing JS2s.

Latest on that js2 list was 3pm. So it's possible. But I'm not holding my breath.

Probably not for a while. There are still 12 slots open for this week, but no other openings in the future.

:(((( Complete 2/12 and silence since (I know that's not too long, but I keep holding my breath for a JS1)
Any speculations on why they're rejecting some and not others without JS1s?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
