Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I'm 3.87/160. URM. I interviewed about three weeks ago. Lucky to be even considered numbers-wise. Though I was waitlisted at UPenn, so who knows.
Still, I hope that some of us in the triple update group gets good news by Friday. :]

The letter went through LSAC. Maybe my file is being audited. Has anyone heard of Georgetown sending thank you emails out to recommenders?

Yes. I'm pretty sure the thank you email goes to all recommenders. Someone mentioned it much, much earlier in the thread. Like September/October/somewhere back there.LSATsanta wrote:Blumpbeef wrote:Did they mail it directly to GTown or did you go through LSAC?LSATsanta wrote:One of the people who wrote me a letter of recommendation just told me that they received a thank you email from Georgetown. Are you informed of wait list/ding decisions through the mail or email?

27/28/29 update as well. Hope we get good news. I'm not sure if I can handle another waitlist...

Hey everyone. I'm new to this thread. I applied ED with a complete date of 1/25. My only status change so far was on 2/14 even though I had an interview on 2/1. Is that normal?

Yea .. I called them and they told me that an interview does not prompt a status change. I'm just wondering why I haven't heard anythings it has been 5 weeks and I am ED .......i feel forgotten

I read your dates wrong and deleted my post.aziazi wrote:Yea .. I called them and they told me that an interview does not prompt a status change. I'm just wondering why I haven't heard anythings it has been 5 weeks and I am ED .......i feel forgotten!
If you've called already, not much more you can do.

I think at this point for us 27-28-29ers it's decision time. In other words, tomorrow's an update with or without a decision, and Friday the same. I doubt our applications are going to be tossed aside anymore. Not with the way this week has gone. It's crunch time. Brace for it.
Anyway, I have this general aversion to anything waitlist. Getting waitlisted is like a hybrid state of limbo, purgatory, and insufferable Sundays of deeply foreboding cynicism.

One of my reviewers informed me that he was thanked by Dean Cornblatt. I've gone complete each of the last three days.

I'm looking on the graph on page 1, and an interesting observation is that at around this time there was a little peak in both acceptances and rejections but not waitlists... maybe our group is an acceptance or rejection kinda group-- good or bad news tomorrow Mar 2?

Just got the waitlist email. I have been advised to "make deposits and fulfill the requirements to secure a place at another law school."
Good luck all!

Waitlisted as well. Guess that was what all the updates this week have been leading up to.
