Congrats!!! I'm in the same situation in regards to the NYU/Columbia timeline...quite strange.Hitchensian wrote:Accepted today around 2pm Central via email!!!!!!!

And NYU hasn't given me a decision yet...am I wrong to think that's highly unusual to hear back from Columbia prior to hearing back from NYU?
Hope I'll be able to join you!

edit: And to answer your question, you don't really have a choice, unless you want to withdraw your app.

On a unrelated note, has anyone who hasn't been held written a LOCI? I'm debating doing so since it seems like many of the holds were YP, and I'd like to avoid getting held if possible. I'm an early December submit/early January complete, so while there are definitely earlier submitters than me still waiting, they've also accepted people who went complete as recently as early March. Thoughts?

I'd probably send one in, had I not been held. Its pretty obvious these holds are YP craziness at this point. So, if I knew that, I'd have sent in an LOCI for sure, I really do not think it is going to hurt and it might be the grain of rice that tips you out of the (potential) hold pile.koalacity wrote:On a unrelated note, has anyone who hasn't been held written a LOCI? +1 If I were in your position and had your numbers, I'd send in a LOCI.Nonconsecutive wrote:I'd probably send one in, had I not been held.
