Well, I think I do. But having been waitlisted at American yesterday, they can't be too great, can they?chicoalto0649 wrote:UGHilbert wrote:Scholarship info was with the acceptance packet. $54,000 for a 3.3 /166.

There was a hand-written note on my acceptance letter about my experience in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, where I volunteered for a year. That being my most significant soft factor, aside from my LORs, I guess it contributed to their decision. Definitely the first time I've felt like a school has looked at anything other than my GPA and LSAT. I sent in my application around February 10th.

This was yield protection. American is notorious for it. Its probably more of an indication that you're a solid candidate than anything else.UGHilbert wrote:Well, I think I do. But having been waitlisted at American yesterday, they can't be too great, can they?

Re: Emory 2010

Re: Emory 2010
Got in yesterday 3.4/168 with 12 years work experience. Applied in mid-October. I am sitting on a full tuition scholarship from Alabama, and a partial scholarship from UGA. No scholarship info from Emory, but I was a Woodruff nominee. I am not holding my breath for a Woodruff Fellowship, but has anyone heard anything from the Woodruff selection committee?

About how many Woodruff Nominees do you think there are, and when do they let them know?

Re: Emory 2010
I talked to the Emory financial aid office yesterday, and they said that I didn't have to submit anything aside from the FAFSA. Weird...I guess I need to call again.rad law wrote:Didn't know I had to fill this out. Sounds like a pain in the ass.anniesaysrelax wrote:I'll be doing that this weekend. Totally didn't realize I even needed to until after I looked back over the acceptance packet. Their finaid website is extremely unhelpful, so I'm glad I saw that or I never would have filled the thing out. Oh, and congrats to those who recently heard!

Has anyone registered for Visiting Day? From the acceptance material it looks like you just e-mail admissions and say you're coming. Am I missing something?

In today! So exciting to get a big packet in the mail!
Are all scholarship offers included with the acceptance packet, or do some come later? No $$ would be disappointing, particularly given how generous they seem with most students.

People with higher scores seem to be hearing relatively soon. I don't know if this is you or not, but good luck.flowerpot wrote:Whoa so some people went complete on 2/18 and are already hearing decisions?! I went complete on 2/17- should I be looking? People with my numbers are starting to get accepted, so I'm going to throw out a prediction. I'll get an acceptance with $54k total award either today or tomorrow.
Congrats to those who have recently gotten in. I'm looking forward to a decision after 4 months of waiting.
