Re: George Mason 2010
My application went complete a few weeks ago after the December LSAT, but the decision status still is blank with a date of 12/1 (I submitted in November but they held my app until after my retake). I'm getting a little worried with all of these people now getting the 'decision in two to four weeks' message, should I send them an email?

That sounds great. Cuz I searched online and found apartments in Ballston were all expensive. 1200+ for a room, then I got upset, I'd rather buy an apartment and pay for the mortgage with the rent money(Of course I have no money for that). I'm international student,so may not have good chance to go and find the good deals before I got to U.S.sharthree wrote:My bedroom costs me 500/mo including utilities and internet. Actually, anyone feel the COL is high like I do?comparing with the tuition........

Just wondering...for those of you who have gotten a decision...how long did it take for you to get your snail mail from when you noticed the "2-4 weeks message?" I know I am not IN because I did not get a phone call...I am just praying for a waitlist!!!

You just ruined my day there. Completely identical numbers for me, and I applied late (last Thursday night).xjlore wrote:I just got waitlisted at GM today. 164/3.63 I'm not really sure what happened. Sorry, I really don't know what to tell you. I just went back to look over my application and I couldn't find any errors or mistakes. This is the first school I have heard back from and now I'm pretty discouraged for future responses.ViIIager wrote:You just ruined my day there. Well I'm definitely surprised to see you as a WL with those numbers, but I wouldn't really consider GM a safety. The median LSAT was a 163 and GPA was 3.7 something, so while it looks like you would have fit in quite nicely, I don't think I would have considered it a safety. That's based solely on the numbers, I don't know anything else about you app. But best of luck anyhow.xjlore wrote:I just got waitlisted at GM today. 164/3.63 I'm not really sure what happened. Thanks! I just checked my status checker and saw the 2-4 week message which just showed up today. Does the admit packet get mailed on the day of the phone call generally?klussy wrote:yep definitely GMU, congrats. Re: George Mason 2010
Weird scenario. I submitted 1/5, got a request for my in-state tuition form the next day (I had already mailed it via snail mail). Never got a complete or review status on my online update. Just got a call that I got in, (168, 3.57, safety school), but when I asked her if the status updater would change, she said they don't change them.
Anyone else have their status updater changed to admitted? I think she must have misunderstood my question.

After I got a call from the admission, the note on the top of my status page changed to something like "2-4 weeks to recieve the package". But nothing else has changed since.HERetICal wrote:Weird scenario. I submitted 1/5, got a request for my in-state tuition form the next day (I had already mailed it via snail mail). Yeah status checker doesn't change. Also, the physical letter arrived about 7 days after the call.

Accepted at GMU via phone call this afternoon. I went complete on the 14th of january. My status checker changed to "decision will be sent in mail" minutes before recieving phone call I guess.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
