Re: Northeastern 2010
Just found out I am IN. With 25K over the 3 years...not a ton of money, but something! Have people had luck with negotiating at Northeastern? I am fairly new to this thread...

I just want some kind of answer already.
I have a few offers on the table, but I would love to go to Northeastern.
I've been complete since 1/14. bah!

Check again, Suffolk is definitely a T4. The only T3 in New England is Franklin Pierce in New Hampshire. The only other T2 is U. Maine.JuTMSY4 wrote:

If anyone wants to PM about the reception/open house, I will be driving down for both and know no one there.

Noted - I think they've dropped then (and LSN has them as a TTT as of 08)

Interesting. I was surprised to see Suffolk listed as a T4 to be honest. I am sure they are one of the better T4s out there, but still a T4.

Re: Northeastern 2010
Perhaps this has been discussed, but how does the "no grade" thing at Northeastern transfer out in the real world...outside of Boston? I know it is a "regional school" but in many regional schools if you are in the top 10% of your class, for example, you can get good work elsewhere. How does it work without traditional grades?
Has anyone found resources that discuss this issue? I am intrigued by the co-op idea, but wondering how it will transfer if I decide not to stay in Boston afterward...

Status checker says decision mailed today. Now I wonder how long it will actually take to get to me.

Same here. I sent mine super late--on March 1st. I'm surprised with the turnaround. I'm guessing I'm an auto WL? Does that happen? We'll see...kscience wrote:Status checker says decision mailed today. Now I wonder how long it will actually take to get to me.

I got my acceptance 15 days after they got my application. It was really fast and I figured since it was so quick that I must have been rejected but I was happy to see that I wasn't.sophistry wrote:Same here. I sent mine super late--on March 1st. Because you are a female URM. Northeastern typically doesn't accept 150 LSAT.
Congrats though, it's not how you start it's how you finish!

Re: Northeastern 2010
I was accepted to Northeastern in November with 25,000 over three years, but I'm not really interested in going. Is anyone else in the same position? I would have considered if I'd received more money, but I'm waitlisted at BC and at Emory and I'd prefer to go to either of those schools if I were to be accepted.

Rejected via snail mail, very light and small envelope
Good luck to the rest of you still waiting on decisions

Honestly, I think unless you get a full ride of some kind, that is what they offer EVERYONE. They can say they give a lot of aid, but it is that same $8500 to most everyone...I agree, not great in a city like Boston.chapon24 wrote:I was accepted to Northeastern in November with 25,000 over three years, but I'm not really interested in going. Grats! And since you were so emphatic about the chirimoya I may have to try them.pamplemousse wrote:just got my acceptance letter + the 25,000 everyone else seems to be getting. yippie!

For folks who got acceptance letters - what did your application status checker say? had it changed to "in review" or did you just get the letter in the mail?pamplemousse wrote:just got my acceptance letter + the 25,000 everyone else seems to be getting. yippie!

Decision letter mailed as of today. I have absolutely no idea where I stand with Northeastern.

I still haven't heard a peep from them. I've been complete since 1/6 and there hasn't been any movement on my application since 2/1. Every time I call they say I'll have a decision on or before April 15th. Very unhelpful.

Re: Northeastern 2010
I've been 'deferred' since early January. Im thinking they might actually wait until April 14th to tell me.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
