This is very random, but I must say that everyone I have spoken to at LLS, staff and/or students, have been SO nice. It has been a pleasure corresponding with them.

+ 1
The staff I met on my tour were the nicest/most helpful that I have met throughout this whole process. I just wish it were located in a different area.

Re: Loyola LA - Has anyone heard back?
I've been looking at past cycles on Law School Numbers and it seems like part-timers were hearing more quickly than this year.BruinsFan wrote:I'm a PTer and I haven't. I posted that same question a while ago and it didnt get any responses.gswfan wrote:Have any PTers heard back yet?
Also looks like there have only been rejections for part-timers this year, no acceptances (at least among those who actually listed part-time on their profiles)

163 and a 3.17 here. Accepted full-time last week after 5 - 6 weeks of application/ complete/ review. Acceptance package comes in a large envelope and contains pretty much everything you need to know. Financial aid, if any, comes with this package. Mail took 2 - 3 days to reach me here in LA.meggers88 wrote:still waiting...160 and 3.58. anyone with similar numbers get in / hear back?
Also, the status checker looks something like this when a decision has been made, which is different from other schools...

That being said, I'm throwing my acceptance back into the pool. Good luck to everyone else!

Does the status go straight from "...COMPLETE and ready for review..." to this decision rendered page? Or does the status switch to indicate it is in review?hungryjumps wrote:163 and a 3.17 here. Has anyone tried negotiating offers with Loyola? They seemed to be not so receptive when I told them I had a full ride at other schools (though lower ranked). I know SW isn't a peer school, but a full ride there should equate to SOME money at Loyola? My numbers are 166, 3.25, and URM.

Been complete since end of November, it's a good thing Loyola wasn't my #1.

I'm in your situation. I only received 51k from Loyola and the full ride at SW. I'm trying to decide if it's even worth negotiating and if so what to say....uclawaitlister wrote:Has anyone tried negotiating offers with Loyola? Been complete since 1/27. 2.75 and 169. Im beginning to panic, although that may have more to do with the fact that I have not gotten in anywhere.

I am still waiting too since December
But a quick question, would you guys choose Loyola over UC Davis?

only if you want to be in LA, in which case i would definitely chose loyola over Davis. outside of LA it would be pretty hard to justify passing up davismilenchik wrote:I am still waiting too since December
