those of you that have already been accepted at Davis previously,

did you worry that your Davis decision wouldn't come in until after your first deposits were due at other schools?

This is a real (and really frustrating) problem that I ran into last year. I was about a week from when my deposit at BU was due, and I finally got frustrated enough that I called the UCD office of admissions and explained the situation to them. They assured me that there was some kind of software snafu that was making things take "a little longer than normal" and that I'd get the news in due course. Whether related to that call or not I'll never know, but I got my acceptance via status checker the next day.

All I can say is that they sure don't make the wait easy on you guys, but it is worth the wait.

IN! Just checked my status checker and "Decision has been mailed" popped up. Clicked on the PDF and got the big Congrats! I have been in "Evaluation in Progress" for about 6 weeks or so. I went complete right before Thanksgiving.

Now that they've started letting in the autoadmits everyone else can start actually counting down. Hell, maybe this long evaluation process means that they actually READ our applications... ridiculous thought I know

congrats! when did you go under "evaluation in progress". it seems like complete date doesn't really matter so im trying to get the time frame of being under evaluation in progress...

I think you are correct. In the FAQ on the Davis website they say they pick applications at random to evaluate. As a result I don't think the order in which people go complete has much weight.

I just went complete yesterday, so now I'm the pool with all the rest of you. Good luck everyone!
