"each recipient receives a yearly stipend of $1000, and full Law School tuition in the fall and spring semesters each year... Scholars must remain in good standing throughout law school to retain their scholarship status

edit: I suppose there could be a GPA stipulation that went unmentioned, as the bolded doesn't necessarily preclude one.

Received a full tuition scholarship at the U today! I was told that it was mailed out and I should be getting the packet next week. Everyone at the law school was really friendly and extremely helpful. I also met the dean which was pretty cool.

I called the admissions office today to check the status of my application, turns out that I'm in and the letter will arrive via snail mail one of these days... oh the snail mail.

Called admissions this morning to check on my application status. I applied early this month and never received a conformation that they had my application. The nice admissions lady told me I am IN BABY! Defiantly a top choice for me so hopefully I will see a little money. When/How did people find out about scholarships?

Apparently Miami is better than UF and FSU with snail mail too! Got the letter in the mail today too (after calling this morning). Then again, I guess Coral Gables is closer to the keys than Gainesville and Tallahassee.

Follow the instructions to active your CaneID. After it's activated, go to the UMiami hope page and click "myUM" at the top. If you've been accepted, you should be greeted with a big "welcome, your accepted" letter.

I received an email telling me to subscribe to MyUM to check my admissions decision letter. I had previoulsy been waitlisted at UM back in December. After signing up in MYUM I was able to view my new admissions letter dated 01-25-10. It was a letter saying that I was waitlisted, Again! I have been waitlisted twice by UM! WTF! you weren't waitlisted twice, the letter you saw on MYUM was the a copy of the letter you had before; unless that means I was admitted twice!

I would call UM and make sure they received that LSAT, with those numbers you should definitely be in.

Here's a question for everyone. If you had a full ride or 3/4 scholarship from FIU, and were accepted to Miami with no scholarship...which would you choose? I have a sizable previous undergrad debt and I may be running into that dilemma soon. Already been accepted to Stetson on a side note. Thanx!

If you think you can end up top of the class in Miami then I would do UM as the name recognition in Miami is so much better. If all you want is to have a law degree then go to FIU for free.
