Re: Florida State 2010
Just got the acceptance letter today and it included a bit on establishing residency. Between that and the conversations I've had with the admissions folks, it seems like as long as you do what they tell you to do, you'll have residency granted.

Were you ever on "HOLD" with FSU?j32f wrote:Just got the acceptance letter today and it included a bit on establishing residency. Between that and the conversations I've had with the admissions folks, it seems like as long as you do what they tell you to do, you'll have residency granted.

Ya, the paper in the acceptance packet about obtaining residency makes it seem relatively simple. I am out of state and FSU is also one of my first choices right now.
I saw earlier in the thread that you are also out of state. Is FSU your first choice?

Yeah I think so. I am waiting till I visit to make a decision, so we'll see how that goes. It seems like everyone that visits really enjoys themselves though, so I think it's pretty likely that I'll end up there.I saw earlier in the thread that you are also out of state. Is FSU your first choice?

Re: Florida State 2010
ya visiting definitely made me go from kind of liking fsu to loving fsu. i thought it might have just been because it was the first school i visited. but since then i have visited three other schools, and so far fsu has been my favorite.j32f wrote:Yeah I think so. Is there anything you did that you'd recommend while I'm in Tallahassee? I've got a visit with the school set up, but other than that I don't really have any plans.

Re: Florida State 2010
i grew up in south florida, and only went to tallahassee a couple times while i lived there, so i don't know it very well. when i visited i stayed with a friend that is in undergrad there. she just drove me around the city, which didn't take too long since it's not that big of a place, and i looked a few different apartment options.j32f wrote:Is there anything you did that you'd recommend while I'm in Tallahassee? Re: Florida State 2010
I asked FSU to hold off on reviewing my app until Feb lsat score was reported. Literally a day or two after the scores were in, I was accepted...if your new score is a substantial improvement, definitely get in touch with them to make sure they have it on record, as FSU always takes the highest score.keg411 wrote:I'm Complete 1/8. For those who are reasonable certain that they will attend FSU in the fall, there's a class of 2013 thread.

OMG 3 months of waiting and I am placed in the hold category!!!!!! So more waiting?! Well, at least I am not outright rejected, is it appropriate to send my LOCI now?

Still Complete 1/8 (dear lord). Sent them an e-mail to see if they got my higher LSAT.

Held as well today. Any help from anybody who was once held then accepted would be appreciated. FSU is one of my top choices and I would love to get accepted.

Re: Florida State 2010
Held as well (they told me via my e-mail). I'm guessing it's because they reviewed my app without my Feb. score. It should make a difference.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
