Northwestern's twitter says that they are releasing more decisions today and tomorrow. Anyone hear anything yet? I hope we all get the final word before New Years.

There still a good number of ED people that haven't heard?caligirl07 wrote:Northwestern's twitter says that they are releasing more decisions today and tomorrow. Anyone hear anything yet? I hope we all get the final word before New Years.

Well, considering their last one said they'd be sending out a "small batch of ED decisions," yes, I'd imagine so.Split5 wrote:There still a good number of ED people that haven't heard?caligirl07 wrote:Northwestern's twitter says that they are releasing more decisions today and tomorrow. Re: Northwestern 2010
I think probably not. I think they meant a small batch of decisions of which all are ED. Sorry to say but the only two in LSN who haven't gotten in ED are below both medians. I doubt everyone on LSN was in the first group and none were in other groups.NancyBotwin wrote:Well, considering their last one said they'd be sending out a "small batch of ED decisions," yes, I'd imagine so.Split5 wrote:There still a good number of ED people that haven't heard?caligirl07 wrote:Northwestern's twitter says that they are releasing more decisions today and tomorrow. Plus I doubt NU gets all that many ED applicants. For numerous reasons.
I just got home from the near north side. Michigan avenue is so pretty at night.

Rejected
Sucks but it was a long shot anyway. I hoped my work experience in law enforcement for a couple years would overcome a weak LSAT but guess not.
Good Luck to everyone else!! Its a great school.

I feel for you! Even though i knew before hand of my very low chances to all the very high reach schools, its still a major disappointment to be rejected. I'll be rejected most likely with my 168/3.1 to NU in RD but it'll still hurt.phillyinnewyork wrote:Rejected![]()

Does the status check ever go "under review" or does it stay at complete until you get a decision?

Did anyone else get an email saying to log in and check your status checker at 5pm CT? Thinking that's not a good sign...

Re: Northwestern 2010
My apologies if this has already been asked, but does anyone have any idea of what my chances might be to get in without an interview? The Dec 2009 LSAT was my first and I scored better than I was expecting, which changed my list of schools. I can't afford to travel for an on-campus interview and the off-campus interviews are closed now.
MY LSAT score is 171, undergrad GPA 4.03, non-URM, 2+years of public interest work. Any chance I can still get in, or is it not even worth applying without the interview?

I got in without an interview last year ... 4.0/168 ... if nothing else, you may just want to interview for money!gilagarta wrote:My apologies if this has already been asked, but does anyone have any idea of what my chances might be to get in without an interview? Yes, you have a great chance of getting accepted by NU, even without an interview. Just to be safe, I suggest submitting a well-researched "Why NU?" essay in response to the optional essay question on the application.gilagarta wrote:My apologies if this has already been asked, but does anyone have any idea of what my chances might be to get in without an interview? sooooooo for all you rd applicants, lsn suggests that the first batch of decisions are coming out this friday. not sure if this has been established already.

And what's interesting is that those 1-9-09 acceptances were kind of all over the map in terms of when people went complete. Hold onto your hats, kids.talibkweli wrote:sooooooo for all you rd applicants, lsn suggests that the first batch of decisions are coming out this friday. not sure if this has been established already.

Re: Northwestern 2010
So my status had been stuck on a date in November, saying once I complete my interview, it would be complete. I completed my interview over a month ago, so I called a few days ago to check on it. Turns out their system is giving them trouble and it doesn't seem to be updating statuses for anyone with a last name that begins with one particular letter (the one my last name begins with). He said it would update the next day, and it did (though it's unfortunate that now my complete date is over a month later than it would have otherwise been). So if it's been that long since your interview and your status checker is still stuck, you should call!

Re: Northwestern 2010
Mine said complete before I had my interview and then the date never changed after the interview. Who knows what they think is going on with my application.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
