My confirmation email came from the general law.moreinfo - though I was the one who called and pointed out the absence of the email in the first place...

was wondering about you - did you give your name to them? i mean it probably doesn't mean anything at all but maybe they just shot you a one-off since you specifically inquired about it?

I did give my name to them and she specifically looked me up in the system and forwarded me the email...
Yeah, it really probably doesn't mean anything at all but hey what is the fun in that right? NYU had us guessing for the past few months so speculation is all we've got!

Lol. Got email from the admit@nyu address this morning too.

Judging by what I've read and seen from NYU this cycle, I'd bet they're just testing our mental/intestinal fortitude at this point. Hang in there everyone!

if yes, it could probably mean nothing, since everyone got it ?

Nope only a Why NYU, but just realized the last date to observe a class was the 25th. At least that takes the risk out of it - sending it today.

Try not to let the silence and weird status checker issues get you down! NYU admits a lot of people off the waitlist and there is still hope for all of you.

(Source - I was an early May admit back in 2014 and didn't hear a word from NYU after the waitlist confirmation email until I got an acceptance letter in the mail.)

Nothing other than snail mail? No email/call/status checker?

No emails or calls. I found out afterwards that my status checker switched to DLS the day before my letter arrived, but I hadn't been checking it frequently. Also I hadn't submitted a LOCI yet when I got the acceptance - I know they help but they definitely aren't required and there's no need to feel pressured to get one in ASAP.

I wouldn't expect a feeler email for this first wave. Try not to read too much into things! (This is general advice for the thread, not for you jessmeesh!)
