This suspense is really killing me. I think I might implode if we don't hear today.

Congrats, daaaaamnjulianna!!! I'm considerably more than a bit jealous right now.daaaaamnjulianna wrote:Just got my scholarship email!
Also, I just realized that the e-mail I got on 3/10 said "Initial scholarship decisions will be rendered the week after that [March 15th] deadline."
So, does this mean that there will be subsequent decisions rendered even later? Dear god, I can't take anymore!

Nothing to be jealous of, aside from the sweet relief of finally knowing. Given tiny merit aid offers, it seems like it's only an option for in-state folks.

Just got an email -- no scholarship offer for the first round. Pretty disappointed given the much better offers I've gotten from higher ranked schools..

No offer at all, yikes. Given my stats I gotta admit to being a little surprised, but oh well. Looks like I won't be headed to Seattle.

No scholly in the first round, either. Chances are, they're not going to have too much $$$ lying around by the second wave and that's right around the time other schools want deposits. But I didn't expect much as an OOS applicant and knew their funds were limited. Most likely going to need to withdraw as well.

30k Scholarship as an in-state student. Pretty Happy with that. However, I did get $120,000 from UC Davis, does anyone think that'll encourage UW to increase their offer?

Who knows. Your $40/yr fr UC Davis puts yr yearly OOS closer to what UW in state is (less your $10/yr and the $9/yr grad grant if you qualify.) I would guess UW may wish to spread their money around before further sweetening the pots of those who already got some. UC Davis has to compete more for its applicants with other CA schools. UW does not.Apmathis wrote:30k Scholarship as an in-state student. Pretty Happy with that. However, I did get $120,000 from UC Davis, does anyone think that'll encourage UW to increase their offer?

I've heard about the $9k/year grad grant a few places but am not sure exactly what it is. Is this only for Washington state residents?emeraldsea wrote:Who knows. Just got 30k/3 years. It's a good start! I would probably be satisfied if I was in-state.

0$ as well. Can anyone confirm yes/no OOS grants from OSFA? Would like to appeal osfa for a grant but don't want to waste any time waiting for something that won't happen.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
