Yea there's also some oddball questions but just answer off the cuff. You can't prepare for some of them. The others are incredibly generic and if you've ever gone through an interview you'll be fine with them. Also, be prepared to type quickly for the written questions - I have a really good cadence and fast rhythm when typing and thinking, but I'm sure that this format could've been an impediment for some. Again, as per above, it's fine winging it after you tried the practice q's and after you know why cornell/why ithaca. Everything else is not possible to prepare for.
There was a written part? That wasn't on it last year.

Don't worry about the writing. I was in the first wave so I had no idea there was writing at all, or the questions. I had to come up with an answer on the spot but it was fine. I had time to read my answers over.

yes
And you have to be invited to do it, correct?
Well, I wouldn't try to demand an interview if that's what you're asking

But yeah, you can't just sign up for it. It's like stage 2 of the admissions process
I am just a very eager beaver. Cornell is way up near the top of my list.

Hey guys, I got an email saying that my application was received on 11/23 and my status checker says "Your application is ready for review." Does this mean that my app went complete? It's dated as 11/23, the same day my app was received and I haven't received an email saying it's complete. Any info would be appreciated!

In today by phone call from the dean. No caller id. Above both 75ths and went complete about 11 days ago. Did the interview on monday which was the same day they requested it. The interview was honestly pretty fun although i'd definitely recommend doing a few practice runs

Yeah; it's complete. Mine said that for over a month, and then I suddenly got the interview request.
Awesome! Thanks for letting me know! Good luck on the interview
