Current 1L at Fordham. Fordham students are not very cutthroat with one-another; I am very close with my section and part of my super section. I often talk to students in other sections as well. I have sent and received study materials from a wide number of students, so it is unfair and inaccurate to say that Fordham students are cutthroat.

Fordham students are competitive, but not necessarily with one-another. I think each of us wants to see the other succeed, but at the same time we all are driven for our own success. Fordham students are notoriously hard workers (mentioned by numerous employers during my 1L summer interviews) and grinders.

Ditto here. No status changes at all. Applied around the same time as you. Even my "application complete" took forever to show a date (mid February!)
Me too!! I'm not sure if I should be worried because it is so close to the first deposit deadline, but it makes me feel a little better that others have had the same experience. Does anyone know if they send out acceptances after that day that aren't from the wait list?
+1 Good to hear there are others in the same boat but I wish we'd heard something by now. No idea on their post-deposit acceptances. Submitted 2/1, finally went complete 2/29... :roll:
+100000 D;
Well it makes me feel better that I'm not the only one!! I just hope we all hear back soon!

I called the Admissions office this morning to follow up on my application submitted on 2/14. I asked if we could expect decisions before the April 15 tuition deposit deadline of most schools.

I was told that the turnaround time for a decision is 6-8 weeks from the day your application goes complete. Plan accordingly.

Finally movement today. Submitted late January. Last date change was the end of March. GPA and LSAT both >75 but not by much. Anyone read anything about being able to get scholarships this late in the game?

Quick question regarding seat deposits.

I applied to Fordham on Feb. 13 and have yet to hear back, though I am quite confident that I will be accepted. That said, I was already accepted to BC and the seat deposit for that school is due on Apr. 15 (Friday). In general, can one withdraw from a law school even though he/she has put down the first deposit? In other words, if I reserve a seat at BC this Friday just to be safe, but receive subsequent acceptance from Fordham, can I withdraw from BC and accept Fordham's offer? I'm not concerned with losing the seat deposit $.

I am from NY and looking to begin my career in NY, hence my desire for Fordham over BC.

Thanks!

Yeah, of course. Otherwise people wouldn't hold seats while they ride waitlists. You just lose the money.

you can also ask BC to give you an extension on the deadline. One school gave me till May 1 (instead of 4/15) and another only gave me 3 days but worth asking

I sent a LOCI and an extra LOR about a week ago. I also visited and met with Kathryn. I'm planning on following up after the first deposit and then again after the second. Based on last years forum, people don't start hearing back until June! :( I'm anxiously awaiting, Fordham is my top choice!

I'm sure you got this! Especially after meeting with the dean of admissions, that sounds very impressionable. I guess i'll send out an LOCI this weekend, and hope for the best. Could you let me know if you emailed it or mailed it? And if you did email it, to whom did you send it exactly? Thank you!

Hey everyone! Applied on February 24 (I know super late :/) but went complete on the 25th. I have 3.7 gpa so that's above their 75 gpa and a 162 so I guess one point below their median. Still no date change and this Friday will make 7 weeks. Fordham is my top choice. I visited and also met Kathryn. Anyone here know how likely I am to get an acceptance with some OK (20-30k a year) money? I applied to BC March 8th and heard back from them last week with 21k a year. GW applied around the same time as Fordham and heard back two weeks ago with 16k a year
