There was an acceptance wave reported last cycle the first Thursday of February, which fell on the 5th last year. So there's a chance some of you might be hearing from Dean Deal before the end of the week!

Re: Stanford C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016 cycle)
No one has been dinged yet to my knowledge. And I believe Stanford snail mails rejections and waitlist notifications. It will say "decision letter sent" on your status checker, but you won't know the contents of that letter (i.e., waitlist or ding) until you get it. Maybe your Stanford Mary will pay off though!beybb wrote:i applied to stanford as a crapshoot. Just as the H and Y threads are expectantly awaiting decisions today only to hear nothing, the black box in Palo Alto speaks and decides to add to the ranks after 5pm Pacific time. SLS gonna SLS.

Re: Stanford C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016 cycle)
There have been three acceptances reported on LSN since yesterday. Since Stanford is known to release acceptances in small batches and you consider how many applicants likely never post decisions online, 3 reported admits might actually indicate a pretty significant wave for SLS. I think spammingrobot's post is legitnotadr wrote:Am I the only one here who is a bit skeptical of a post by an account called spammingrobot? Did you write "Why Stanford" in your PS or get Stanford-specific LORs?spammingrobot wrote:Just got the call from Dean Deal!

I didn't get a Stanford-specific LOR, and I used the same PS for all of the schools I applied topterodactyls wrote:Did you write "Why Stanford" in your PS or get Stanford-specific LORs?spammingrobot wrote:Just got the call from Dean Deal!

There is no difference between complete and under review at Stanford. Once you have gone complete, there will be no change in your status-checker until either "decision letter sent" (which means ding or waitlist) or you get the acceptance call.scandk wrote:For the people under review, when did y'all go complete?

Yes, that is what everyone's status says. The status updates to "Your file has been submitted for review" whenever you get the email informing you that your application is complete.ramybamy wrote:are you sure? my current status says "Your file has been submitted for review."QuentonCassidy wrote:There is no difference between complete and under review at Stanford.
