What's the procedure if we emailed our alumni interviewer and never heard back from them?
It's been about a week.

The interview portal says: "If you try to reach your interviewer by both phone and email and do not receive a response, please send a polite follow-up message. If you still do not receive a response within 2 weeks after following up, please contact the Admissions Office for assistance."mornincounselor wrote:What's the procedure if we emailed our alumni interviewer and never heard back from them?

If I were you, I'd follow their instructions exactly so they don't get annoyed or anything. Good luck!

Any more online interviewees?
I'm kind of regretting the decision not to interview in person. I think the one minute limits made me truncate my responses. I guess they are still experimenting with the platform, but man oh man.
Seems like it takes a while for the status checker to update as well. Does it ever?

I do wonder how the average / above average online interviews stack up. I'm hoping they take into account the awkwardness of the process. What about it got you -- questions or format?

Yes. Prep the typical job interview questions -- eg weaknesses, strengths, overcoming conflict and adversity. Why Northwestern is also a helpful thing to start thinking about.WatchClosely wrote:Any general advice for somebody who is sweating tomorrow's online interview? I've been practicing keeping my responses to things like "Why Northwestern" and "Why law school" under 1 minute. Any other considerations?mynameiskevin wrote:
Well pretty much both.
I had to keep my posture straight and fixed since even a slight movement made it look like I have ADHD or something on the screen.
I was also overwhelmed by the dead silence during pauses between sentences and thoughts..
After like the 4th question, I was just thinking w/e.. I'm just going to get this over with..
The questions themselves weren't too bad, but a couple were tricky in finding solid examples.

Yes. Sounds like it takes them a while to update; ie somebody needs to review the video first.mynameiskevin wrote:My status checker still reads 'incomplete'. I did my online interview last weekend, so is this normal?
All the other boxes have been checked sometime this week..

Re: Northwestern c/o 2019 Applicants
Can anyone shed any light on the NU specific recommendation?
I'm submitting 3. One of them would be more than happy to do their NU specific thing.
Should I submit that person's recc through LSAC and also have them do the NU specific thing? Or would that be duplicative?

Might be slightly duplicative, just use the LSAC designations to have it be submitted to NU only.

Does anyone know about how many ED applicants are admitted each year/how many people apply ED? I guess the scholarship section of the 509 report might hint at this number, but of course it would include people who were awarded high scholarships without applying ED.

if i just submitted my application tonight, it's too late to schedule an off-campus interview, right? seems like i can only do online or on campus, but there are no free dates for on-campus.

On campus in a couple of weeks. I am pretty hyped, as this is my number one, in terms of preference. I'm not sure how I feel about having the name Pritzker attached to everything now though.
