This is him talking about it. Actually kind of scary.
Edit: he apparently had a full ride to boot.

For me, I very much identify with having "the plan." Realizing I hate the plan would be horrible.

Ah, I never had "the plan" so I think it doesn't scare me as much. I think I'll be able to tolerate three potentially unpleasant of school as long as I know it's preparing me to worthwhile things with my life.

That's another thing. There's nothing remotely close to a guarantee in that department. Maybe I'm more morose than usual due to apps being imminent, but I'm feeling like Andy.

So I'm sitting near this man at a coffee shop and he's the ED of a super cool PI law organization AND a former RTK scholar. I met him once at a conference and he works with one of our board members and I wanna network with him but I don't know how (plus he's having coffee with someone) :(

You'd have to commit to physically leaving (or do it on your way out), but walk up, say you're really sorry to interrupt, but you recognize him from 'x' and wonder if he has a business card, because you'd love to grab coffee. Or something. Then peace.
Mehhh that's what I would do if I were good at networking. Just doing this instead

Just googled "Immediate family" for peace of mind for AB and Google says it normally includes a "person's parents, spouses, siblings, children and first cousins." Though I've only ever heard it referenced to parents, spouses, siblings, and children (more nuclear than so extended as cousins). Any thoughts on what the NYU definition is? I may have a first cousin who has an M.Ed (but I'd have to check) which would technically disqualify me under the google "normal" inclusion.

Did you have to submit your sholly app right away, or can you send it in later? :|

You have to submit it right away.
Nooooo time to find another recommender.... That means NYU won't go in til even later.

Has anyone gotten an NYU status checker yet? I have not.
