That's what mine looked like until yesterday when it went under review. No worries. In time it'll change.

I checked last year's page and no info.

On this page:

First scholarships came out for last year's TLS BC-bound class on March 3, 2014.

that's very weird...did you have some sort of C&F issue?

ops, yes a small one, and common, but it should not have been an issue.

You've now identified yourself to every AdCom you wrote an explanation for C&F for.

What do you feel are BC's biggest strengths when it comes to job placement?
Did you attend at close to/full sticker price? Was that worth it?
Boston seems to be a pretty saturated legal market with all the other high-quality law schools in the area, have you had any difficulties with this?
Do activities outside of class (Law Review, Moot court, etc.) help with job hunting?

Also, unrelated, I'll be moving with my partner and am unsure what to budget for housing - what's normal for a 1BR or small 2 BR within a reasonable distance (no more than 45 min commute by public transportation)

In the absence of BC scholarship offers at this point I'm trying to learn more about the job placement and return on the investment. Even though I'm sure I sound really skeptical BC seems like a great school. Thanks for your input

I did not attend close to/full sticker price. I had a substantial scholarship from BC, an outside scholarship, and familial help, which brings my debt load close to 0. IMO, sticker or close to it is NOT worth it and very risky. If you got scholarship offers from peer schools, be sure to use them as bargaining chips to squeeze more money out of BC.

Re: BigLaw, the top 10% is safe, top third is in the running. As to job placement, BC>BU in the Boston area/Massachusetts; nationwide they're peers and virtually identical in reputation. Thankfully most Harvard grads go elsewhere. Regarding saturation, you're absolutely right, there are waaaaay too many Boston-area schools and not nearly enough job openings for newly-minted lawyers. I'm a 3L in the Vale of Tears thread and it's just horrifying how much of a wasteland the entry-level legal job market is, particularly in greater Boston, for those who struck out on OCI. Plenty of folks working for free in exploitative unpaid internships post-grad.

Re: extracurricular activities, Law Review (or some journal) is a must if you want to do Big Law. For public interest gunners like me, employers could care less about my lack of journal. What's important to them is demonstrated commitment to public service through externships, clinics, etc.

I paid $1050/month for my 1 BR in Newton (all utilities included), which is pretty comparable to what my peers are paying.

Got in a few weeks ago! Still no word on scholarships, am I alone in that?

Also, BlueLotus- what made you pick BC over wherever else you were looking?

BC offered me the most scholly money (they are def willing to negotiate). Also, strong public interest program and desirable location. Other acceptances were W&M, Notre Dame, and Temple.

My numbers were 3.82/164.

Temple offered me a full ride and William and Mary offered me some money that I'm sure I can negotiate up. But you saying this is great news for me

Yeah, def write a thoughtful, persuasive scholarship negotiation letter to admissions, attaching scanned copies of your other offers. GL! And remember my motto--sticker=financial suicide.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
