Re: George Washington C/O 2017
It looks like last year almost all of the applicants who were waitlisted and applied before Dec. were waitlisted on the same day (1/11), then there are no more waitlists until later Feb, March, on a rolling basis.
So if you don't get waitlisted today, and you applied before Dec., you're probably either an admit or a reject, and hopefully finding out which soon

Also looks like there was a gap in decisions from around the 17th until the 30th with nobody getting notifications in between. Checked both LSN and last year's thread here.

That's true, but it also looks like we're behind last years schedule. There were large batches of admits and rejects around 1/9-1/10, and we haven't got those yet, except an admit batch a week or two ago. I think their ED deadline was a week or two later this year, which would change things, but I could be wrong. Hopefully a bunch of people will find out today.uncreative wrote:terrapinjetta wrote:It looks like last year almost all of the applicants who were waitlisted and applied before Dec. were waitlisted on the same day (1/11), then there are no more waitlists until later Feb, March, on a rolling basis.

Just out of curiosity - has anyone here heard about $$? I saw that they start awarding merit scholarships in early Feb, but I saw someone on twitter had tweeted to GW Law Admissions that they were admitted with a full tuition scholarship.

I also got waitlisted today. I declined an alumni interview a few weeks ago. LSAT mid 170's and GPA above median, so I think this was a YP thing.

Nope. Saw an email from inatgw today and got my hopes up for scholarship info, but it was just an invitation to their moot court finals.mraemorris wrote:Just out of curiosity - has anyone here heard about $$? I'm really curious about the scholarship $$ myself. Got my GW acceptance this week, but the e-mail didn't indicate anything about applying for scholarships. I'm curious because Berkeley sent an e-mail recently that indicated that you would receive information about applying for scholarships when you received your acceptance letter.

Are any admitted students planning on going to the moot court competition finals next Thursday?

Is there any rhyme or reason behind the alumni interview invites? I'm above both 75ths, but not so much that it's definitely YP territory.

Can somebody help me figure out how to access the status checker? My link doesn't work and I can't find it on their website

Go to http://www.law.gwu.edu/Admissions/apply/Pages/JD.aspx and then you can find the link to the status checker in the 3rd paragraph under "To check your application status online". Good luck!JRO1989 wrote:Can somebody help me figure out how to access the status checker? My link doesn't work and I can't find it on their website

So if I applied before December and wasn't in the WL batch today, is it a safe assumption that I'll get a rejection next week?

For those of you that were waitlisted, were you one of the 11/6's and did your status change to decision made before you received the waitlist email?

I was waitlisted and my application was complete on 11/6. I frequently checked my status checker and it hadn't changed until after I had gotten my decision email.CJ2017 wrote:For those of you that were waitlisted, were you one of the 11/6's and did your status change to decision made before you received the waitlist email?

No, I don't think so. Judging by the numbers, it looks like everybody left from before Dec. is either an admit or a reject.lawskewl13 wrote:So if I applied before December and wasn't in the WL batch today, is it a safe assumption that I'll get a rejection next week?

I submitted my application 11/15. It went to complete shortly after. Then, I had a date change to 12/16. I still haven't heard anything. Any predictions on what my situation may be? I am trying to optimistic that since I did not get wait listed yesterday, I could be an admit.

It depends on your numbers. It looks right now like 165 is the cutoff for sub-3.7 GPAs, then it looks like if you have 167 or above you're good almost no matter what.tanyrseay wrote:I submitted my application 11/15. Well, it looks like right now most people with my application complete date and numbers have been wait listed. Although, I do have some significant soft factors and higher GPA. I'm hoping since I didn't get wait listed on Friday it means I'm closer to an admit!!
