Re: Wake Forest c/o 2017 (2013-2014)
Greetings TLSers~
Before everyone gets too excited let me add some perspective here and explain some new developments.
We did send out scholarship decisions for the January 31 admitted students and anyone else that has been admitted that we expect to get a scholarship at this point. If you've been admitted and don't have an offer email (check your spam) then you probably haven't been awarded a scholarship at this point. We are considering giving those candidates not awarded a scholarship a later deposit deadline but haven't decided whether to change it yet. So go with whatever your offer email/letter says for deposit deadlines.
We made a template change to the Applicant Status Online (ASO) interface today so that it will display scholarship amounts. It appears on everyone's page whether they are admitted or not. If you feel the information presented there is inaccurate, please contact my office. Your offer letter/email is your official documentation but the ASO should display what is in our database. If there's a discrepancy we should resolve it earlier rather than later.
We expect the next round of decisions to go out Friday, including our first deny and waitlist decisions.
Because our local weather folks are insisting we're going to get six plus inches of snow this Thursday we've cancelled our ASD for this Friday. We Southerners cannot handle even a little snow and campus will most likely be closed. We are encouraging folks to register for one of the other dates (Feb 28 or Mar 21) or to attend an information session next Friday, March 21, which will include many of the components of an ASD.
If you have submitted a scholarship reconsideration form, I have to admit I am behind on responding to those. I expect to catch up this week. One word of advice on this is to wait until you have all of the relevant offers you think will be impactful in your decision making process. We are not likely to reconsider an award that's already been reconsidered.
As always feel free to email me directly or PM me here if you have questions. Don't stress. We want you to know what's going on.

I am thinking about throwing a class of 2017 Facebook group together but need at least 1 more person to get this going. The previous classes had one and it was very helpful. If you are interested PM me.

Can anyone confirm to may that they have been accepted WITHOUT going into "Committee Review?"

Re: Wake Forest c/o 2017 (2013-2014)
I think I may have been—I applied 1/21 and got accepted 2/7, so that's about two weeks of clearance. I didn't notice anything changing on my status until I received an emailed acceptance.kellohitty wrote:+1cactusflower wrote:Can anyone confirm to may that they have been accepted WITHOUT going into "Committee Review?"

I REALLY want in at Wake. Hopefully we all have good news to share on Friday, because I'll likely be very unproductive aside from refreshing my inbox.

Winston is pretty much snowed in and on gridlock - not sure if decisions will run like usual this week, but I sure hope so!pagenotfound wrote:Can't wait the Friday's news!

Yeah there is no way anyone is in today, but it seems like Dean Shively knew that and still expects decisions to come out tomorrow.zippernicus wrote:Winston is pretty much snowed in and on gridlock - not sure if decisions will run like usual this week, but I sure hope so!pagenotfound wrote:Can't wait the Friday's news!

Is there a recommended deadline for FAFSA filling at Wake? Thank you!

I believe the deadline is March 30th, but I would just do it ASAP. Though, I don't think many graduate programs offer any financial aid outside of scholarship money.anna8506 wrote:Is there a recommended deadline for FAFSA filling at Wake? Thank you!
