Is it typical to get multiple Application Complete updates? I received my first and only update on January 9. Was hoping admissions would reach a decision on me next week, but if I should expect a few more status updates first I won't get my hopes up.

I just spoke with someone familiar with the admission, because of the change in the admission office, they are changing they way they evaluate scholarship this year, but I was told (and please dont quote me on this), that applicants would be happy with their offer, and they are somewhat waiting to send that out so applicants get scholly info from other schools first and they may be willing to work with you a little bit. Again, please dont quote me on any of these.

Does this mean they are getting rid of the $25,000/year cap? I promise not to quote you
Edit: removed the quote...didn't realize this was so serious, sorry!

I'm pretty sure you literally just quoted him.
I interpreted that he didn't want his post quoted, as well as not emailing ND saying: "Well Kyle from TLS said..."

I dont know if there will be a hard cap in place, but it does sound like they'll be more willing to talk than in the past.
But yea, just dont email admission saying you hear from someone about something. Its a pretty small law school and I'm sure they can hunt me down...

So has it been established that Decision Made + No numbers(or $0.00) next to seat deposits = Deny ?

I believe someone earlier in this thread had no seat deposit numbers and was wait listed. So it could mean either deny or wait list it seems.Nucky wrote:So has it been established that Decision Made + No numbers(or $0.00) next to seat deposits = Deny ?

I dont know how many of you are from the Chicago area, but if the school does some sort of admission activity, maybe a mini-admitted students day of sort, or let you meet with current students and professors in Chicago for half a day, is that something people might be interested in?
Also would people be more willing to attend ASW if the school arrange some forms of transportation for airports in Chicago? Or is that really a none factor?

I'd def be interested in a Chicago day.kyle010723 wrote:I dont know how many of you are from the Chicago area, but if the school does some sort of admission activity, maybe a mini-admitted students day of sort, or let you meet with current students and professors in Chicago for half a day, is that something people might be interested in?

Also, I know many schools have admitted students cocktail receptions in major cities. I'm surprised ND doesn't do this given their large alumni base.

I got in last year but I withdrew and retook. Do you think that will affect my chances this year? I'd really like to be in South Bend with some $$.

Trolled via snail mail! Two letters in the mail today. Both very pleasant, but inconsequential.

Yes. Admitted a month ago. One was from the Dean applauding school successes, the other was from an AdComm who answered questions for me.mx23250 wrote:Letters from ND?yossarian71 wrote:Trolled via snail mail! Two letters in the mail today. Both very pleasant, but inconsequential.

FWIW, I submitted late October and I believe my 'complete' date changed once after about a week and then it was silent until I got a decision about 5 or 6 weeks later. So you may have a few weeks yet, but who knows.laballermvp9 wrote:Same complete dates for me. Hey guys checking in. Submitted 1/20. I know there is a separate section for this but what chances do you think I have at getting in. I have a 3.74 gpa and have only taken the lsat once with a 159. I'm coming straight out of a medium size public undergrad and have average softs but strong LORs. I also wrote a strong why ND essay and am Catholic. I'm thinking around 15% chance accept?

I know this doesn't answer your question - but with your gpa I feel the BEST advice at this point is withdraw and retake - 3 to 4 practice tests a week up until the LSAT (minimum 30) and you'll break 165 - with your gpa you could be looking at potential t14 and money t25Mitchellcar wrote:Hey guys checking in.
