It sounds like you did the right thing. And based on mx's response, I think you're okay. If you're still waiting at the one-month mark, maybe call. I wasn't ever assigned an interviewer because mine was on campus, so I can't add any data points to the discussion about waiting time.Pishee77 wrote:I went on the separate link and signed up for an interview when I turned in my app (or the day after) but it still states that I have not had anyone assigned to me...how long did it take for you to be assigned after you signed up?NYC-WVU wrote:My interview request was completely different from my application filing. They're probably just bogged down with lots of off-campus interviewers to line up. This time of year they probably get dozens, if not 100+ applications each day, with most requesting off-campus interviews. If you don't hear back by about 4 weeks I'd definitely give them a call or email them and inquire about the status of your scheduling.NYC-WVU wrote:It sounds like you did the right thing. Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Woah status change! I was status-checker complete 11/19 (complete before that but it didn't update, I had to call) and my date changed to 12/5/13 sometime this afternoon. The text on top changed as well to read "Your application is now complete and is being reviewed by the Admissions Committee." I can't remember what it said before but it was much longer. Anyone else have this?
Edit: I know there was some flopping earlier this week, but did we establish if the change in text meant anything either way?

Here's a better, less whiny-sounding question: how does NU notify for acceptances/waitlists/denials?

I think they send you an email and then you log into a website where you can see the letter that tells you whether you were accepted or not.alex.cm wrote:Here's a better, less whiny-sounding question: how does NU notify for acceptances/waitlists/denials?
But it's possible I'm confusing NU with some other school.

Just checked last year's thread.
Status checker will say:
Status: Decision Letter Available within 24 hrs
Then, and ONLY then, will you be DLS'd as fuck.

You're right. Just checked the NU law admissions Facebook page and last year they announced that ED decisions would be out on 12/17 and then on 12/19 another batch of ED and RD would be released. Looks like we could see both ED and RD decisions being made in about two weeks or less.mirroroferised7 wrote:Also, last year, the announced the ED DLS's were coming out via facebook. Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
So my date has remained at the end of October yet the top says "Your application is now complete and is being reviewed by the Admissions Committee." I'm not sure if it has ever changed from that. I did my interview before I submitted at the beginning of October so I wonder if that is a factor.

Does your Current Status say "Application Complete"? If so, I think everything is fine.fivestarfolds wrote:So my date has remained at the end of October yet the top says "Your application is now complete and is being reviewed by the Admissions Committee." My status just changed...i went complete on 11/27 after my interview on the 25th and up top it said being reviewed please wait 6-8 weeks from 12/1 for a decision blah...NOW it says "Your application is now complete and is being reviewed by the Admissions Committee" date changed to today, 12/6

Interesting - I wonder how their process works over there. I'm still sitting with the 3 sentence header after going complete in late October.goldgirl786 wrote:My status just changed...i went complete on 11/27 after my interview on the 25th and up top it said being reviewed please wait 6-8 weeks from 12/1 for a decision blah...NOW it says "Your application is now complete and is being reviewed by the Admissions Committee" date changed to today, 12/6

Yep I think this is standard. It will change to the single sentence accompanied with a date change as it moves through the process.goldgirl786 wrote:My status just changed...i went complete on 11/27 after my interview on the 25th and up top it said being reviewed please wait 6-8 weeks from 12/1 for a decision blah...NOW it says "Your application is now complete and is being reviewed by the Admissions Committee" date changed to today, 12/6

No worries now. They said it's just a system glitch for international applicants.lawschool22 wrote:I don't think that is ordinary. I would probably call or email about it.maplecai wrote:Definitely yeah. I sent all my transcripts through LSAC, and don't have this problem for other schools, so I just assumed this was how NU works for everybody. now it looks like I've been waiting for nothing for nearly a month.lawschool22 wrote:I wouldn't worry about the time that has passed, but I would be curious about why "Transcript" is not checked - did you apply through LSAC?maplecai wrote:My application went complete a month ago. Both status and status date haven't changed ever since. Besides, "Transcript" on the requirement list isn't ticked. All all these normal? Is my application truly complete or not?

A little more insight on this...mirroroferised7 wrote:Just checked last year's thread.
Status checker will say:

Then, and ONLY then, will you be DLS'd as fuck.
Once it updates to say DLS available within 24 hours, you can start trying to log into the decision retrieval login (link on the same page as status checker IIRC) with the same user and password, but it will take ~an hour to let you actually log in (but sometimes a few hours). Apparently there is a delay between them updating the status to say DLS and uploading the affected user logins into the decision retrieval system.
It makes for a very fun hour or two of your life though, enjoy

ETA: also, you will receive an email notifying you of your DLS as well, but this will typically come quite a bit later in the day.

Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
In all honesty, what are the chances of anyone getting in with stats below the 25% for both LSAT and GPA. i'm slightly below, but Northwestern is a dream. So just wondering? I believe all other aspects of my app are really strong but obviously I know this is a numbers game...i guess this question applies to all schools?
Does anyone have any serious thoughts or know of examples?
