hey banjo and other people who know: if they don't start admitting RD apps until last week of Jan, is there any harm in waiting until after I get some more signs re: JS2 (i.e., midDec, xmas maybe) to send an app in?

I think waiting until Christmas should be fine, especially if you're above both 75ths. That said, you stand a shot at a Hamilton, so you should apply even if you get that much-coveted JS2.

Hey! I don't think it's a bad sign to not be asked for your grades... I thought if was a bad sign that I did get asked and now I'm definitely not hearing till at least mid January. I have a 172 and 3.73. I also transferred schools so it's possible they want to see another semester of work at my school.

If you were accepted ED, you're in haha. They wont revoke your offer unless you commit a felony, you are k-jd and you dont graduate (you fail a required class or something, which has happened), or it was discovered that you egregiously lied on your app. Of course these would preclude you from attending any other school too.

Same, just sent out the emails and got responses back from each admissions office confirming that they received it. So no one else got any other sign after the initial email right? I keep checking my mailbox to get hard proof that the email wasn't a fluke.

i haven't posted about this yet because I didn't know how unique the email was. I got an email recently asking for a second LOR from a professor (my second was from a research internship). columbia REQUIRES kjds to have TWO letters of rec from a faculty member. i'm not the only person to have received this email.

just wanted to let you all know.

About study abroad transcripts, Stanford had an issue with mine and I had the study abroad institution email it to them. I went complete the next day.

Its been over a month and I'm still not complete at Columbia I'm assuming its the study abroad transcripts again. Do they accept updates to your application via email?

Yes absolutely. Any update you may have can get sent directly to them by email. They will update your file.

You can try this, but I was told pretty specifically over the phone that they would not accept a study abroad transcript via email. That said, if you submit yours and they accept it by email please please let me know!! I'm putting off spending the money its going to take to get mine sent by post... lol.

Have you solved the study abroad transcript problem? Do they accept transcript sent directly to their office by post instead of to the LSAC?

scoobers -- I had the same problem! I emailed Columbia a few weeks ago kind of like: "Hey there, why isn't my app complete?" and they were like: "Oh lol, you need a third letter of rec."
