they didn't even start doing calls until around 4pm, so I'm hoping that means they have a lot more people to call today and that they'll get to the October applicants soon.Sourrudedude wrote:I'm optimistic about this because they called up until closing time yesterday.applelover wrote:I'm really hoping so.CitrusFruit wrote:Do schools typically do a few days in a row of this stuff? Re: Stanford c/o 2017 (2013-2014 applicants)
So I went complete late Oct and have been "submitted for review" since 11/4.
Both of my emails are lowercase (whatever that means) and now I'm freaking out because people got calls.
CONGRATS to all of you - for those of us non-Sept submitters, just try to keep in mind that we were late submitters, comparatively!

Re: Stanford c/o 2017 (2013-2014 applicants)
I suppose if there are going to be calls today they wont start until late afternoon EST. I do think there will be calls, though. Would be weird for them to just do a small batch of early september submitters and then wait.applelover wrote:I submitted early in October, and although it's late compared to the September applicants, it was still relatively early and I imagine the batch of people who submitted then is smaller than the late October batch, since a lot of people waited until after the October LSAT, which is why I'm so anxious/ nervous.Instinctive wrote:So I went complete late Oct and have been "submitted for review" since 11/4.

Congrats to everyone who was accepted!
I'm definitely not expecting a call today for myself, but out of curiosity, did those of you who got a call yesterday register any change to your status checker, or does it look the same as before your acceptance?

Damn... my emails are lowercase, but I can't remember what they were like before (not the most detail-oriented person, ironically...). Can someone please confirm that they are uppercase for most people this cycle, as well?
EDIT: Went under review 11/5, so I'm sure this doesn't mean much for me.
EDIT #2: Also, my "mailings" section may have been cleared, although I don't remember if it was empty in the first place.

1 uppercase, 1 lowercase. Pretty sure this is irrelevant. Why would it matter?crazyrobin wrote:Uppercase as well. No idea what this is about.

This, from the C/O 2016 thread, might help:CitrusFruit wrote:1 uppercase, 1 lowercase. Pretty sure this is irrelevant. Why would it matter?crazyrobin wrote:Uppercase as well. No idea what this is about.

If your email goes lowercase it means you'll get a call the next day admitting you. Or at least that's what I've heard.

Supposedly in previous cycles the e-mail address would change from all caps to lowercase immediately before an acceptance would be sent outcrazyrobin wrote:Uppercase as well. No idea what this is about.

hmmm good to know. based on the fact that several of us have 1 or 2 emails that are lowercase already (and have had this all along), I don't think email capitalization is predictive anymore, thought-14orbust wrote:Supposedly in previous cycles the e-mail address would change from all caps to lowercase immediately before an acceptance would be sent outcrazyrobin wrote:Uppercase as well. Got accepted. Both emails are upper case. I don't think it's relevant this year.

Already verified. CrazyR, you said your emails are still uppercase and you got in right? Debunked then.crazyrobin wrote:We need more people to verify this.

Congrats to everyone who was admitted. Just wanted to add that I was admitted via email yesterday after I missed the phone call. Unfortunately I was in my car driving home from my University and did not have my phone on Bluetooth. Incredibly excited!

ETA: ScoopedI hate this theory, but I don't know if we have proof that anyone was accepted and not uppercase. I can almost guarantee it is just based on how you filled out the app though.

Auto-admit is awesome. Next cycle I'll instruct my friends to fill in the app with lowercase.CitrusFruit wrote:I wish! But at Stanford????
