How soon do you think? In the email it suggests we won't hear anything until May.

May 1 is the deposit deadline so that's probably the safest date. Of course there will be withdrawals though but it'll be far less predictable. Plus they probably want an idea of the people that pay the deposit before reaching into the WL. Good luck to all of you on the WL. Get those LOCIs written.

I have a few letters waiting for that purpose, but it states specifically that they do not want such communications. I don't want to piss them off

usually that is a college football recruiting tool but if law schools are stepping up it could make the decision process quite interesting..

I wouldn't normally think they'd provide food, but the hours of the receptions imply otherwise. I just want to make sure I prep properly so my stomach isn't grumbling the whole time.

So I have had two other friends apply to Hastings this run and for both it took two months and 2/3 weeks for their responses. They applied in November. My app was complete Dec 21, and I still haven't heard back...

Also- I'm from the East Bay and go to SF a lot and really, like someone already said, Hastings is on the border of the tenderloin- and it's more like on the outside of the border. When you step out of the bart station and walk toward Hastings you'd have no idea that a few blocks away (in the opposite direction) the "ghetto" begins. And really, it's not even that bad, just depends on where you're coming from. The entire city (sf) is like that though, where blocks away seems like two worlds apart, it's not a big deal.

Thanks a million for the reminder. I didn't realize that there was a supplemental aid form required. Luckily, my employer isn't strict with the internet access here so I was able to do it at work! Also, I'm definitely planning on attending the Silicon Valley reception! That's the one in Palo Alto, yeah?
