Word. I've answered two unwanted phone calls today from 800 numbers just in case.AMilfordMan wrote:Comcast needs to stop calling me from an unknown Georgia number. Seriously.

I'm in North Carolina. I saw a little earlier in the thread that a guy in Atlanta received his packet on Friday so it has had around 2 full days to move through the post. If you are in this batch, I would assume that you'll get something unless you are west coast.dougfunny wrote:Congrats! Mind sharing what part of the country you live in? This will never end...I received a call from a 404 number today, thinking it was a law firm that I had interviewed at last week I professionally answered the phone, then it wasn't.AMilfordMan wrote:Comcast needs to stop calling me from an unknown Georgia number. Seriously.

I got this last year....and called. Turned out, I was accepted and my letter was lost in the mail. They mailed another and THAT was lost in the mail too. ATL mail is AWFUL.lsatownsme wrote:Just received it as well. It did have some specific info that seems to be directed toward admitted students, but is at the same time general enough to be considered a confirmation email for my FAFSA. What a tease...
That being said, is there anyone who submitted FAFSA but did not receive this email?
Likely you are in.

I'm in via mail! I posted on the previous page about receiving that financial aid email on Friday which seems to have been sent to accepted students.

May I ask if they were willing to notify you over the phone or e-mail after they lost your letter? I called them last week and they told me my decision had been sent in mid-February and that I should have already received it, so it appears mine was lost in the mail. How did you end up finally getting your acceptance. I am totally freaking out over this because frankly Emory is the only school I want to go to, so I really want to know my status.anonstudent wrote:I got this last year....and called. I emailed them today because of the email (not fafsa) I mentioned earlier in this post but no acceptance in the mail. They just responded about a half hour ago with my letter (including scholarship info) attached. They said they will resend my packet. and because someone asked above my #s are their 25th for lsat, 75th for gpa.hopingtogetin wrote:May I ask if they were willing to notify you over the phone or e-mail after they lost your letter? They were willing to email me a copy of the letter (and mailed out a second, which got lost as well).hopingtogetin wrote:May I ask if they were willing to notify you over the phone or e-mail after they lost your letter? Re: Emory class of 2016 (2012-2013 cycle)
Hi everyone – this is Ethan Rosenzweig, the dean of admission and financial aid at Emory Law. I will be posting a general admission update soon, but I wanted to send a quick note now regarding a technical issue I just learned about from the Law School Admission Council.
It appears that the application portal through LSAC’s website has suffered internet connectivity issues this week. As such, LSAC has asked us to extend our deadline to assist students who are having difficulties applying through http://www.lsac.org. Our priority deadline for the entering Fall 2013 class is now March 15th. As always, I encourage folks to submit their application as soon as possible as the admission committee is actively reviewing files.
(This situation reminds me of when I was filing a brief electronically back in my days as a law firm associate. The filing had to be uploaded to the clerk of court website by 11:59pm, and of course, at 11:15pm, our internet went down. Let’s just say I lost 7 pounds from sweating as I drove 20 miles to the nearest 24-hour Kinkos.)
Thanks again for allowing me to post in this forum. I will provide a more thorough admission update in a few days.

Hi everyone! Is there anyone else waiting for a decision while they're overseas? Snail mail takes forever for us, and I'm really hoping for Emory right now.

Has anyone called to see if receiving the financial aid email means that you are accepted??
It is worded in such a way that it sort of implies acceptance...
Thanks!!

I'm hoping that the electronic problems are contributing to relatively slow response times to emails; I've sent two since last Friday trying to forward along a LOCI and haven't heard anything back. Oh well.
