Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
Man I really hope see another batch go out before the holidays. Anyone know what the policy is for AdComms. Do they leave when the students leave, or will they be chugging along in late December?

Looks like they sent out some decisions this week last year, but they had already sent out a few rounds by now this time last year, so who knows...skri65 wrote:Man I really hope see another batch go out before the holidays. Second UCR update today. Hoping for a decision rendered this week, don't think it'll happen, though.

Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
Got rejected a few hours ago, now that i cant go here I will speak my mind. My sister goes here as a 1L, and bc was my first choice for law school. I applied right after i received my october lsat (my stats are 164 3.37). I know these are low for bc, but i have a major upward trend in my grades and it should be closer to a 3.5 when I graduate.
I went to the boston law forum and took a tour of their school. I was very friendly to them the whole time, and they appeared to be interested in me as a candidate. At the law forum, I informed them that BC law was by far my first choice in school, but when I told them that I went to Plymouth State University, they scoffed in my face in front of several other people who were within earshot of their booth(somewhat rude, very embarrassing).
Still jealous of everyone who got in here. Once youre in, you are family to them.

Mine was stuck on 10/17 (applied late Sep) so I thought I was rejected before I received the acceptance email.
Also I think my UR date was only updated once or twice. So don't cry and relax!

Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
got an email from BC saying they are putting my app on hold till Jan/after Jan and I should expect a decision no later than mid-feb.
not sure what this means. should I write a LOCI reiterating my interest? would that be overkill? i already wrote a Why BC......

Oh no! I'm really surprised to hear that. I would maybe send it a brief LOCI. I'm sure you'll get good news in a couple months.AlanShore wrote:got an email from BC saying they are putting my app on hold till Jan/after Jan and I should expect a decision no later than mid-feb.

thanks. does anyone know what happened to people who got held in previous years? is it a good/bad/neutral sign? maybe i will just write a very short loci, 1 par. thanking them for the note and telling them its my top choice? is responding to the email appropriate or should it be an attachment?ks2499 wrote:Oh no! Looks like a mixed bag. Hold decisions were sent out mid-February last year: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... &start=650.AlanShore wrote:thanks. does anyone know what happened to people who got held in previous years? is it a good/bad/neutral sign? maybe i will just write a very short loci, 1 par. thanking them for the note and telling them its my top choice? is responding to the email appropriate or should it be an attachment?ks2499 wrote:Oh no! I think sending it in the body of the email is fine.

I am wondering if it just means they planned to have an answer for you earlier, but because the holiday season is getting close it will take them longer than expected. Did they initially tell you you would know by December?AlanShore wrote:got an email from BC saying they are putting my app on hold till Jan/after Jan and I should expect a decision no later than mid-feb.

btw, it says decision rendered 12/19. it seems they will put it under review again when they review it again later on.

Wow you have good numbers. I would think you would be an automatic in for BC. This cycle has been weird so I wouldnt lose hope.AlanShore wrote:yeah, they initially told me by mid dec in that email a lot of people got.timeandspace11 wrote:I am wondering if it just means they planned to have an answer for you earlier, but because the holiday season is getting close it will take them longer than expected. i quickly browsed last year's thread and it looks like most helds were eventually rejected so i dont really have my hopes up. sad because BC is my top choice.

Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
thanks. i have a c&f issue so that could be holding it up but i feel like since i applied early oct, they would just reject me if that were an issue (since they have sent out some rejections already)timeandspace11 wrote:Wow you have good numbers.
