Wow, shocked about the rejection. Strong letters from a Judge and chairs of departments. 161/3.44. Good luck to all.

In! $12,000 a year. A littler lower than what I got from W&L but not bad. Look forward to Dean Shively's post on negotiating.

Have all the admits gone out for the day, or will it procede through the afternoon?

Re: Wake Forest 2012
I'm sure the dean will get on here and comment soon, but I believe that they generally send out the admits in one big round, so I think that's it for the day. Again, I could be wrong, but that is how it has worked in the past.SPE155 wrote:Have all the admits gone out for the day, or will it procede through the afternoon?

Re: Wake Forest 2012
Greetings TLSers~
Everything has gone out for today. Next week's release will include more than 400 decisions, admits, waitlists, and denies. I expect next week's group to get us through everyone who applied before December 1. Obviously, I am pulling others where I can.
It's very competitive this year as our volume of applications is up 35% from last year as I write this. So, we're playing it pretty conservative with offers. Still we could make offers from the waitlist once we get through deposits.
For those of you admitted I hope you'll notice a new twist to our admitted students days when we send out the invitation in the next couple days. Because we know it's expensive to apply and get familiar with even your favorite schools, we're offering to subsidize your travel to our admitted student days by reducing first deposits to $200 (that's a $300 reduction for all of us non-math majors) if you register for and attend any of our open house events. We feel its critical for you to come to campus and see what Wake is all about so that you can fully appreciate what a unique experience we offer our students. I hope this small incentive makes traveling to visit us more manageable.
Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.
Warm regards,
R Jay Shively

Re: Wake Forest 2012
Hi all,
This is my first time posting on TLS, but I am addicted to reading the what are my chances threads and reading about who's getting in where.
My wake app went complete on 1/9, anybody else in the same boat?
I am hoping that I will be competitive for Wake ( with some $$ too?). I have a 162 and a 3.4lsac GPA, but my GPA gets dragged down by a bad first year in 2003. I graduated last may with a 3.9 from the Guilford College, so I am hoping they weigh that in my favor. My last 80+ hours were at a 3.9 so that should help right?
Any thoughts....?

Assuming you aren't an URM we are in a similar boat. I have similar numbers and am applying a bit late in the cycle as well (I haven't yet sent in my application). I have a bit of work experience between undergrad and now. Feel free to message me if you would like an applicant buddyel William wrote:Hi all,
