When it asked what schools I'm applying to I was honest as I feel one should be on an application / in a professional setting... if that hurts me than so be it

I'm probably over analyzing but how would I defend that if C&F notices that I didn't list schools that I applied to before I W&M, even beyond that I just feel it is right, but I understand those who say it was a dumb move

It is completely within your right not to answer it, and in my opinion, it is rude of law schools to put it on their application because it is not their business. I listed peer schools whenever a school asked me this. I was thinking it might show them to push a little more money my way. Maybe I should have jut left it blank so the school would have felt like the prettiest girl at the dance. But, I can't help it I'm going to be grinding with Michigan also. She's no better, she plays the field just as much as me.

To be fair, these are the colleges I most had my eye on in addition to WM. But I don't think giving the whole laundry list is necessary.

The more I research W&M, the more I am in love with the school and area. I want, I want!

I'm going to visit on Wednesday, so so so excited! I hope I get admitted immediately after.

Here is my theory for those of us with great numbers that still have not heard back yet:

W&M is waiting to decide on our files until after 15 December. The reason for this is they think, because of our numbers, we have probably applied ED somewhere and admitting us prior to the ED decision notification would almost assuredly result in us saying "Thanks, but no thanks" and hurting their yield. However, once a week or so after 15 December rolls around and we haven't withdrawn, full rides will be coming our way.

Probably not, but it's a nice thought.

I'm beginning to place more value on going through the law school experience with a group of capable peers, a group which might very well be of inferior quality at many of the lower ranked schools. We will be discussing the law and helping each other through the process, and it would be nice to be among people who can enhance the experience and contribute to the learning process.

TITCR - Seriously, visit a few schools and sit in on a few classes or talk to a few students. You'll see there are miles and miles of differences between one school and another. Some kids you'll be like "you're going to be a lawyer? *head scratch*" and others will have you thinking "no wonder you're in law school". Personally, I'd rather go to school with the latter.

I sat in on an Antitrust class taught by probably the greatest antitrust scholar in America, and I was baffled by some people's lack of rudimentary economics and finance knowledge. Maybe my bar is too high, but my thinking is that it's a 2L/3L class in a fairly specialized field and you don't understand at all what is going on beside the legal situation? Why did you take this class?

I totally agree, and unlike some people, I don't think it has all that much to do with rankings (outside of the T14). I think it just shows you the value of the institution. I mean, from 20-40 they might as well be ranked the same anyway but you will probably notice a multitude of differences based on the quality of the faculty etc...

I also find it really telling when you talk to the people in the admissions office. Some of them definitely seem better adjusted than others. LOL
