Yeah... too bad my dad neglected to tell me that my G-ma on his side was full blooded Native American (never knew her, kind of taboo in the family to bring her up).

Would have been nice to be able to put URM on those apps, even if I am blond hair blue eyed...

I think for most schools you have to have tribal documentation.... I have Native American in me too.... but I can't legally validate it so I put white

Yeah, but my dad got a DNA test to prove he was genetically linked when he was doing government work. I would assume DNA tracing to linage would suffice. Damn him and his lack of full disclosure.

Eh, I would feel like I am taking advantage of a system that has a good purpose of getting a diverse student body, and giving people who have not had many chances in life a leg up for once.


At least if I get rejected I know they wouldn't have wanted me for who I really am anyways.

Well, I may have been bored at work the other day, and I may have emailed back the KU fee waiver telling them I would rather rip out my eyeballs than have them witness me attending KU. And I may have gotten an angry email back threatening to make a misconduct claim against me... So there's that.

Thanks, let's just hope the people who look over my app at WashU don't have any KU ties. It's unlikely, seeing as most KU grads move back in with their parents and don't get jobs on admissions boards at prestigious universities, but I will keep my fingers crossed just in case.

Haha did you really do that? I was thinking of doing that to ND and Liberty for different reasons, but I decided against for that very reason.

I still may write a (polite but firm) email to ND telling them that they are missing out on qualified candidates because of certain policies, and I am evidence of this.

I then had to write a follow-up email explaining when I said "My denial of your invitation to apply should be considered good news to you, as the day I come to Laurence KS will be the day the town burns to the ground, again." I simply saying if a natural disaster such as fire where to devastate their town I would help in the relief effort similar to Auburn supporters assisting the town of Tuscaloosa when it was in need.


Although referring to their incoming class as the perfect group to continue their currently meteoric rise to the top of the law school rankings may be viewed as a tad overzealous.
