Yup. I just got a scholarship offer from a much higher-ranked school that was twice as much as SCU offered me. I really do like the school, but I can only see myself going if I can negotiate more.

I guess it's time to do a forum search on "how to negotiate scholarships"

I definitely will be asking for more $$ too...it never hurts to ask, especially if you have some leverage from another school.

mine changed to status date: 2/1/2011, but it still says in Review.

Could it be a decision letter mailed?

No, they just touched your file again or something like that. But there'll be a decision letter soon. Almost everyone had (at least) two 'IR' dates, then a short while later a 'DR' final happened

For those curious:

- I submitted my application on 11/1 (early admission)
- File was held for regular review on 12/3 (because of December LSAT)
- Application went complete on 1/24

How is it possible to be IC from mid-november to now? I've gotten into much higher ranked schools with scholly money. I'm pretty much certain I won't be attending but they've annoyed me so much that I will wait for a decision anyway.

Seriously, it's not that hard to reject if they're having THAT hard of a time deciding. *grumble* At least it isn't my first choice.

Word to the wise: Do NOT open the new mailing from Santa Clara in bed! The envelope lining is stuffed with recycled junk and it gets everywhere!
It was just a psuedo-boarding pass with a link to RSVP for Admit Day, and a Santa Clara luggage tag.
