Did any of you get a scholly offer via email after u were accepted?

My initial offer came via snail mail. A few weeks later they upped the offer via email, and then trailed it with a hard copy.

I have very similar stats. I was admitted in November and it took all the way until mid-Feb to get a scholarship offer. I've been reading about scholarship increases through emails and getting a little hopeful. Mind sharing the date your intial offer came and then when you got the email to raise your scholarship? Also, with the scholarship increase did they also raise the renewal stipulation? Post or PM please.

1/21 complete
1/31 decision letter sent (recieved 2/3 or 2/4 IIRC)
2/22 email sent on increase

Unfortunately, the scholly is 1 year non-renewable, so there are no stips.

Complete since 11/24. Based on lawschoolnumbers.com it looks as if they don't make decisions the same way that other schools do. I don't think they've rejected anyone yet? So they just continually accept people until they are full/satisfied, then reject/waitlist everyone all at one. That's my theory anyway.

Turns out my parents missed a letter in the mail from USD (I no longer live with them) and I'd never got an e-mail about it. 30k a year, definitely a nice surprise, but probably not enough to draw me there.

I have been complete since November and have not gone into review. Am I the only one?

^I believe there is no "in review" status. It goes from Complete -> Decision letter sent or decision rendered or something.

No, you are not the only one. I have been complete since december. I was told the bulk of the decisions will be made in April. HTH

No, I don't think there's an "in review" status either. I just got an email bc they had a question about my file thus notifying me of being in review. No idea if that means anything about a quicker turnaround or not.

That's interesting; their first "admitted students day" is March 25th... Odd strategy.

I just got my fin aid email from USD. No Merit Aid.

3.0/167/Hispanic. I applied to the PT program.

Does that seem a little weird?

I wonder how different their scholarships are for the part-time vs. full-time? Maybe not at all, but for some reason, it seems like there may be. Maybe because most part-timers are applying because they live there already and there is not a lot of competition (in terms of other law schools in the area) that they feel they have to attract candidates away from? Just random supposition on my part.

Please don't take my word for it! I'm just speaking out of...well, just throwing stuff out there to stimulate discussion. Hoping that someone with some reason to actually know something about this might contribute.
