That's the first step! The next step is "complete" and then "under review."Ludacrispat26 wrote:just sent today and it says "processing incomplete file." what's that mean?

Are most status updates for "decision made" coming in around midday? Really not looking forward to waiting and wondering over this break...

I'm with you there. I've been complete for 8 days, and I really don't want to wait till Monday to find out!AfroThunder1212 wrote:Are most status updates for "decision made" coming in around midday? Really not looking forward to waiting and wondering over this break...

Does your status checker still say "complete"? I was under the impression it was 10 days from when your file goes under review. Also, I got an email from them saying mine would take longer than 10 days because of break.coug11 wrote:I'm with you there. No, it went "under review" on 11/16, But it is 10 days from completion, which was 11/15 for me. And I got the same e-mail, but the e-mail only says that it may not be ready till 11/29. However, it is still possible for them to decide before the 10 days are up, and that's what I'm holding out hope for! A lot of people on this thread have received decisions 8 days after completion!birdlaw117 wrote:Does your status checker still say "complete"? Re: Duke 2011 - Priority Track
I've been UR since 11/16 (originally UR 11/5, but I think that was a mistake as my 2nd LR wasn't in yet). I'm pretty sure it states 10 days from complete. Either way, my 10th day falls during the break so I'm relly just crossing my fingers I hear back early.birdlaw117 wrote:Does your status checker still say "complete"? Re: Duke 2011 - Priority Track
My mistake. Thanks for the correction. I went complete on the 18th I believe. I'm not holding out any hope of receiving a decision until December 1. Even then, that's a pretty awesome turnaround.coug11 wrote:No, it went "under review" on 11/16, But it is 10 days from completion, which was 11/15 for me. Also, I went under review the same day I went complete (about 20 minutes after the first email). So I didn't really take the time to check and see which one it was.

Oh right, where are my manners, congrats to those who're in and for the fellow "Reserved" applicants, good luck!
no "why Duke", I didn't write "why-x" for any of the schools I applied so far, I seriously should start doing that now...
I'm thinking of sending out the "why-x" to the schools I previously applied for after I also get my Fall-term marks in January, opinions?
I'm from Canada and things are alot simpler here... the LSAT was my 1st standardized test, and I have to say, not too much fun.

Complete the 15th as well and no word. Here's to a nice anxious Turkey Day break...CapHillLove wrote:Sorry!justhoping wrote:"Reserve-listed"![]()

That's rough... How strange. Did you write a Why Duke?
I was complete on the 15th... They seem to have passed over me...

I did, and I'm guessing that tipped the scales in my favor. I'm a 3.7/170, and heard back in around ~8 days. Others with my numbers and no "Why Duke?" haven't seemed to be so lucky. I recommend writing it.sergeantpzr wrote:For all that got in so far- did you all write Why Duke essays? I was just going to send mine in when I finish up the apps without any essay and assume I'd hear back in ten days.

Decision made!
Nothing new listed under mailings.... Bad sign?
I wrote a why Duke and my numbers are really good, but it seems like people are getting WLed left and right in similar situations... scary!!

My status checker also just updated to "Decision Made." No mailings, and I didn't write a Why Duke (figured writing nothing was better than making up something that had a good chance of sounding like BS). Pretty good possibility I get WLed, but I'm hoping for that first acceptance of the cycle.

God me too... I need this to maintain my sanity.
I thought my Why Duke wasn't bad, but I just re-read it to torture myself and realized that I used the same cliche phrase twice and the same word twice within the span of two sentences. Cringe.

new mailings don't always pop up once your status changes to decision made--mine came 5 days after I received the "in" email so for those with no mailings, don't freak out or expect a WL

I wonder how long we'll have to wait to get that email. Didn't some people get them as late as 11pm? I don't think I can handle 5 hours of staring at gmail.

At least Gmail auto-refreshes your inbox, saving the F5 keys on the computers of LSAT takers and law school applicants everywhere.CapHillLove wrote: I wonder how long we'll have to wait to get that email. Whatever happens, I'm pretty thrilled that I'm not waiting until Monday to find out.

In... Thank God.
So it says that I'm in, but that I will not be "officially admitted" until I have sent in the scholarship forms and they have finished the scholarship review process. Is this a YP thing? Like they don't have to count people they admit but who don't send in the forms or withdraw before that review process in January is over?

It might be a YP thing specifically for people on Priority Track? I'm not sure, but it's not a big deal; seems easy enough to send in the form at some point in the next month.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
