Well what are you going to do, just ignore their request?bryanjbay12 wrote:Email from Columbia asking me for my fall grades today. Yeah, seems like it's unfortunate for you but there's not much else to do except send them updated grades immediately and hope for the best. Good luck!aboutmydaylight wrote:Well what are you going to do, just ignore their request?bryanjbay12 wrote:Email from Columbia asking me for my fall grades today. Maybe include a short explanation as to why they dropped so much if there is a semi-legitimate reason for it...ignoring a request means they will probably assume a whole lot of uncharitable things about you if not disqualify you outright, I don't see that as being a better option than being up front about a .05 dip.aboutmydaylight wrote:Well what are you going to do, just ignore their request?bryanjbay12 wrote:Email from Columbia asking me for my fall grades today. At least you're still in consideration! On the bright side, it's not a huge drop by any means and you're clearly strong enough to at least be on the cusp of acceptance so just keep hopes up!

You know, I'm still wondering why they haven't asked me for mine! My stats are pretty much the opposite of yours (reverse splitter) so maybe they just don't care though.bryanjbay12 wrote:Email from Columbia asking me for my fall grades today. Still, submit your grades, and good luck!!!

That's not what I meant at all, I'm obviously going to give them the information they asked for, I was just wondering if anyone had receivec this email at any point, and what the results were. It seemed odd that I would be getting this email, since even if I had gotten straight A's, I wouldn't have reached their 25th. I'm not angry or stressing about it at all, just happy to be considered with my GPA at all. Just wondering if anyone had this happen.aboutmydaylight wrote:Well what are you going to do, just ignore their request?bryanjbay12 wrote:Email from Columbia asking me for my fall grades today. You were supposed to send them fall grades as soon as they became available. It's in the application instructions.bryanjbay12 wrote:That's not what I meant at all, I'm obviously going to give them the information they asked for, I was just wondering if anyone had receivec this email at any point, and what the results were. I think TCR is to usually not send bad news unless it is specifically asked for. I highly doubt everyone who applied before december sent in their 1st semester grades.papercut wrote:You were supposed to send them fall grades as soon as they became available. I'm sure you're right, but that's what their instructions say. I got in without submitting a grad school grade update, but since no one gives a crap about grad school grades, I'm not sure you can take much from that.If you are in school at the time you submit your application, submit your most recent transcript, and send an updated one to LSAC once your fall grades are available.

Hope it was a good result!
It's hard to feel bad for myself for waiting since January when I hear about people waiting for much longer.

I'm a couple years out so no grades to update. Haven't heard a thing since going complete in early October

I doubt they are ignoring your application, however don't be surprised if it takes them a long time to respond to your email.blckwsl wrote:In the same situation here. Accepted today around 2pm Central via email!!!!!!!
Stats are on LSN. Just went complete a couple weeks ago after a mid-January submission. Very excited!!!
And NYU hasn't given me a decision yet...am I wrong to think that's highly unusual to hear back from Columbia prior to hearing back from NYU?
