Hi Everyone,
I applied to ED, and got on the WL on Feb 9, notified through email. Why is my status update still says 1/25?
Thanks!

Does a USA citizenship almost always mean an acceptance? Isn't it just on everyone's page already? or am i just thinking of other school's status checkers? so weird that that would be an indicator of anything.....

Has anyone been admitted off the preferred waiting list yet?

Yes you are thinking of other school's status checkers, gtown's does not have that box filled in unless and until they need to send you something in the mail, which is when your address updates to USPS specifications, hence the country of citizenship updates along with the address updates (ave. to avenue etc). And only acceptances, not dings or waitlists come via snail mail, thats the only reason those updates have significance. I said that in a convoluted way im sure but hopeflly it made sense.agf wrote:Does a USA citizenship almost always mean an acceptance? Yes they have, sending in LOCI's has appeared to be particularly effective for people on the preferred list. Send one in if you haven't already.nellie_bly wrote:Has anyone been admitted off the preferred waiting list yet?

Is it possible then to have USA but not updates on the address? I'm starting to think I always had USA. They didnt expand my address but then again I live in an apartment so maybe my address is too long to begin with... sighhhh ASW doesnt work for me...benito wrote:Yes you are thinking of other school's status checkers, gtown's does not have that box filled in unless and until they need to send you something in the mail, which is when your address updates to USPS specifications, hence the country of citizenship updates along with the address updates (ave. to avenue etc). For what it's worth, when I read that your country of citizenship gets added, I couldn't remember whether mine had been there all along or not. In addition, I'm fairly certain that my address never changed. However, my program type changed form "part-time or full-time" to "full-time" only. So that's something else to look for assuming you applied to both. I assume USA was added at the same time (because everything I've read in this thread has been accurate), but I'm not sure.

Mine says full-time but I don't have USA updated... hmmm... maybe all decisions get the full time/part time thing changed...

Sure its possible, if there is nothing in your address that requires updating to USPS specs then you won't see any chanGe in your address.agf wrote:Is it possible then to have USA but not updates on the address? Well, looks like I was right. This is odd though. So many updates. From my lurking in the thread, I never saw that. Well, it looks like its a toss up on things at the moment. A decision should be coming really soon.

Haha since the interview, Georgetown wins for most rewarding/agonizing status checking experience. First on interview date, then the 2/27-8-9!
WILL THERE BE A 2/30??!?!?!?!
