Where did you see that? I see, "The 2011-12 semester per credit hour tuition/fee for entering law students is $623.66 (30 hours = $18709.80) for Florida residents and $1,269.15 (30 hours = $38,074.50) for non-residents." on the website.AU2010NC wrote:anyone else notice that this years tuition is going to be about $1300 more than the $18,650 that they "projected"?

I was looking at the cost of attendence sheet they gave us, but I'm assuming that was based on 15 hours of credit per semester, and I didn't realize that we had 16

Question for upperclassmen.... what does 'casual' indicate attire wise for girls during orientation? Is it actually casual like jeans and a tshirt or "casual" meaning you should really dress up?

I'm thinking for casual... kahki shorts and a polo or a sundress. This is Florida so I WILL be wearing flip flops. (PS I'm not at all an upper classman, but I thought I'd give you my .02)whentheleveebreaks wrote:Question for upperclassmen.... what does 'casual' indicate attire wise for girls during orientation? Someone (Moose Thompson I think) said that last year, "casual" was interpreted as "business casual". I don't know how people will think of it this year, but I think what Barbie said sounds good. I'm probably doing dark jeans or khakis/sandals/cardigan.whentheleveebreaks wrote:Question for upperclassmen.... what does 'casual' indicate attire wise for girls during orientation? Wow, just realized they're charging me as an out-of-state student. I need to kinda fix this ASAP.thewarflamingo wrote:Where did you see that? So, I just looked at my financial aid and it says Predicted Fl Academic Scholars. I'm pretty sure I used all my bright futures eligibility in undergrad. What's going on?! lol

Mine says the same thing, I was going to call today about it. Any chance you finished undergrad in under 8 semesters? I did mine in 7 so I thought that might be the case. The bright futures website looks like they give you a little bit towards grad if you finish early. I'll let you know what they say when I call.LSATmakesMeNeurotic wrote:So, I just looked at my financial aid and it says Predicted Fl Academic Scholars. Nope. I used all eight because I didn't want to graduate in two years. Let me know what they say about it.gpjc28 wrote:Mine says the same thing, I was going to call today about it. p.s. I suppose I could look this up, but I am lazy. Anyone know off hand whether I can jump between the med-block and law-block for gator games or are you locked into a block once you join?
I went to the block meeting last night, so I actually know this answer now. If you sign out of a block you have to wait a week before you can join a different block. So, there will be one game that you're not in either block.

This was her response -- In late October your file will be evaluated for eligibility for the Florida Bright Futures for the Fall semester. If you are found to be eligible than the funds should be disbursed to you by the end of the semester.LSATmakesMeNeurotic wrote:Nope. I used all eight because I didn't want to graduate in two years. That's useful. Meanwhile, they took away funds from my gradPlus loan for something I might or might no be eligible for. It's not like I have expenses or anything. Ugh, so frustrating. Thanks for asking.

Hey,
Does anybody know if I can decline grad plus loans for this semester only and then accept or decline them for next semester at a different time? Right now it says they have been automatically accepted and so even if I decline one for this semester I am afraid it will automatically disperse next Semester. Also what's the deadling to accept loans? I emailed Ms. Huber but have recieved no response. Thanks for any info.

If you go online, The loans are separated by semester, and there is a cancel option for each semester. Also, if it disburses, you have 20 days I believe to return it to them without interest accrual (your servicer should give you info on that when you are assigned one.) Not sure what the deadline is on accepting them, but if you think you MIGHT need them, I would accept and then return if you figure out that you don't actually need the loans.Neo wrote:Hey,

Yeah, I was only partially right. Tuesday is business casual, as described, but Wednesday is legit casual. So on Wednesday just dress how you would normally dress. Ambassadors will be wearing t-shirts and jeans. Since this is Gainesville I assume jorts will be acceptable.
