EDIT: Chicago definitely pulled several people from the WL last year, many as late as July or August. Not all of them were the WL candidates with the highest numbers, either.

Hmm, that's reassuring. I feel lucky to even be on the waitlist; this was a major reach for me.

Does anyone know any specifics about the wait list? Is it ranked? (I couldn't find the details on their website)

The waitlist is unranked, and several people were taken off of it last year. It seems that you can find out at any time from May until August. Other than that, your guess is as good as mine.

is there anyone who applied in early january who hasn't heard a peep from chicago....as in not even an app received e-mail? i am wondering what is going on. i am going to contact them unless this is typical.

just contacted them and they wrote back and said they had e-mailed me the app received on the day i applied and the complete e-mail in mid-february

i didn't receive either e-mail, but i was able to log on to the status checker with the password they sent to me today

i am UR (presumably again) as of 4/2

is there any possibility of getting merit aid this late (if i am admitted)?

I cant believe im todays lone ranger. I knew admits would be few and far between, but I thought this was a pretty competitive batch (4/1,4/2). Numbers were high all around. Any other admits today?

Hey congrats dude! If only one of the two of us was going to get an outright admit, best it be you since you seemed to like Chicago more. Barring a miracle in Palo Alto it looks like it is between NYU and Duke for me.

This is not such a terrible fate. Congrats on a successful cycle. (Go to NYU, Duke is evil)

I hope. Still UR 3/26 here. But I just sent in new transcripts for Harvard and Stanford, so that might delay my decision.
