Also, does anyone know if there is still a shot at scholarship money from Cornell? I haven't submitted any forms yet. The financial aid deadline was March 15th though.

Do you have other t14 acceptances?

Apps went in last week of February... Cornell is the only T14 I got so far. Still waiting on Stanford and UCLA + 3 WL's and 2 Holds.

And for the accepted guy with awesome numbers, I would seriously consider waiting a year and reapplying at the beginning of the cycle. You should get into some very, very good schools.

I got the reserve e-mail as well this morning. Does anyody when they'll start to take people off the reserve? I have a really good offer that requires a second deposit on June 1st, so if it isn't by then, I should probably withdraw ASAP and help the odds of my fellow reserve listers.

I have a 2/24 complete date which hasn't budged at all. Question: Does the fact that I am still on my first update this late in the game mean something - do they have a process where they look at those files they'll accept first and then move onto their waitlists/rejections? Or, will they get to it when they get to it and really look at my full file with every decision available to them? I hope my question is not too convoluted to understand.

Unfortunately for you, none of us are on the Cornell admissions committee, and so any possible answer will be no better than the pure speculation behind it (though TLSers often claim to know everything).

I will say that your 2/24 complete PROBABLY isn't the best place to be because there are loads of people on hold (supposedly with really competitive numbers) on top of the pile of admitted students, which is probably much larger than what cornell expects to "show up" in the fall.

You applied late. You will probably only get in if you have stellar numbers, probably, probably, probably....

Same (3rd complete). I think their seat deposit deadline was 4/16. Maybe that gives us a better chance than if we had been given a decision last week?
