thoughts/theories? also, any chance of columbia matching need-based aid from hsy? what is a butler scholarship?
Butler is a half ride scholarship. As far as matching need-based from hys, your guess is as good as mine

It seems most people have gotten a decision whether acceptance, rejection, hold or reserve.

Anyone else out there with radio silence besides me?

There are still a few of us out there, but this email asking held applicants for a LOCI makes me think they're just about through making decisions on us.

If they start releasing hold decisions before they get to us, I might have an aneurysm. At least it is too late to just get a hold email? Right....?

Eh, we knew it was going to happen with my LSAT.

I just wish they hadn't given me 5 months to think it wouldn't.

Wait so if I haven't heard since my ED->RD, then I'm reserved or waitlisted?

Nah, if you haven't heard anything still you could go either way between accepted/reserved. The theory is that all of us who haven't heard back still are super border line and Columbia is taking their sweet time making a decision while they wait and see how their class is shaping up.

Does anyone know whether there's a correlation between when your application was held and whether you got the "hey you should send a LOCI" email?

I'm wondering (probably fruitlessly) whether the fact that I was in one of the later hold groups has anything to do with my not getting the email

Ok, thanks. Does anyone know when Columbia usually makes a FINAL decision regarding the candidacy of these ED->RD applicants?

Damn, well there goes that hope. Hopefully a bunch of people that get WL offers turn them down then, or the email doesn't mean as much as I think it does.
