Wow lots of people in review today. Hopefully we're not the last few schmucks Cornell doesn't care about.

I finally just got admitted to one of my safety schools, so at least some of the pressure is off now. Come on Cornell!

Sorry man. I'm actually vicariously pissed off for you. This late in the cycle, is there a meaningful distinction between reserve and waitlist?

Yes. Reserve will get another look before going onto waitlist. It's much better imo.

Honestly, it's not out of the question. I like cold weather and Cornell was legitimately my first dream school. There would have to be $$ involved though and I need to know soon! lol

It's possible to leverage $$ from vandy against cornell. They might not give you full amount, but they can bump up their offer decently.

I hope you sent in a last minute LOCI. It's possible that they could be WLing/rejecting a bunch of people now under the assumption that we've all paid deposits elsewhere and are just waiting to hear a decision for the heck of it/because we paid for one.

So-if we were ALL getting decisions this week or next, Reserve would be pointless. Why do reserve when you're about to make all your decisions? Why not just give the person another review date? More logical right? Therefore, I think...Cornell has a long way to go in doing all of it's decisions.

Yes but not all of you will be getting decisions this week or the next. In fact if you've just gone under review I wouldn't be surprised if you waited another 3 weeks before a decision.

That's what I concluded. I had been hoping that they'd be done by end of next week but I guess not.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
