So i went DR 12/14/09 but I did not get an e-mail... are they supposed to be e-mailing decisiosn to everyone?

I am worried cause I have not heard anything... I just assumed Georgetown opperated like most other schools and only sent actual mail decisions...

Yea I actually never had a UR date... kind of weird.

Umm.. I just got a WL e-mail, but I'm withdrawing anyway.

"You should be aware, however, that we do maintain a separate category of applicants who have been placed on the Preferred Waiting List who will be given priority consideration if spaces become available in the first year class. For this reason, it is advisable that Waiting List candidates make deposits and fulfill the requirements to secure a place at another law school. "

Probably. Aim for Feb but be SURE you are ready. Better to take a year off and gain some WE at a law firm than to douche yourself on the LSAT.

Okay, look. Lots of people have been rejected in the 160 pages of this thread and no one has thrown a pity party because other people used that data. THAT kind of attitude isn't going to help things.

I am sorry if you took my condolences as a negative. I only made the comment because I didn't want to just draw conclusions without acknowledging that it sucks for you to have gotten rejected. I wasn't saying it in an, "in your FACE!" kind of way, but rather, "I'm sorry that happened to you ... but it does give a ray of hope to others WHO ARE STILL SUFFERING awaiting their decision."

If that makes me terrible, so be it.

168, 3.0, 2 masters degrees, letter of rec from a prof at GT.

Really sorry for those that were rejected today. I am feeling down on the dumps too, got a WL with DR today. Thus far I am having a tough cycle (Deferred Cornell, WL G'Town, Rejected Texas). I'm stilling waiting to hear from 15 other schools, including an ED at a Top12, but this latest G'Town development is now making me feel gloomy.

URM
LSAT 170-174
UGPA 2.75-3.00 (several years removed from UG)

As a splitter, I am wondering why someone previously said re-taking in June will likely be too late. That's plenty of time to study for the test again, and try to gain that extra tier of points to make up for a vastly subpar GPA. The WL e-mails indicate that you may hear through summer, up until the first day of school. From previous years, it seems like this could well be a possibility and for many people (like it's looking for me) it may mean the diff. b/w a top 40 program vs. a top 14.

Thoughts?
