Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
How do I know if my app is still under review or if I am being held? Will the status actually say held? I know we've been over this but is there a consensus? Thanks, team.

You will receive an email saying that your application has been held. The date then updates to "Under Review" on the date of your hold.OyVeyitsApril wrote:How do I know if my app is still under review or if I am being held? Will the status actually say held? What's the lowest known GPA and/or LSAT score that is known to be accepted at HLS?

Yes, URM. I saw one low number (sub 160) per cycle on LSN but I guess those were averages on multiple attempts.123kl wrote:URM or not?Sicsofs wrote:What's the lowest known GPA and/or LSAT score that is known to be accepted at HLS?

This is my last school, and, strangely, my most sentimental. I just want closure.

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
What if you were waitlisted? I know a few people who were admitted less than a month before classes started, and then I've heard of (but not actually met) people who were admitted during orientation. This late in the cycle, you have to realistically start considering whether you'd prefer closure or a small shot at a waitlist admission. Would you be willing to drop all your plans and accept HLS in, say, early August? Anyway, good luck to all of those still waiting who really want HLS

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
So I am new to the admission process, can someone explain the WL process. I am held so there is still hope but if i get WL'd and decide to ride the WL, does it eventually officially turn in to a rejection if you don't make it or does it just drop off after school starts? Not that it matters either way because i will retake and ride it out, but I am just curious if at some point over the summer they close the door officially? Thanks.

They do not accept updates by email. You will have to snail mail your LOCI to the admissions office.peterb0y wrote:Thinking about emailing a loci... where should i send it?

I think it's about to be waitlist central around here.

Related: A writer once answered the question "Do you feel lonely?" with "Wherever I am is the center of solitude". In a similar vein, I answer "Do you feel you will be dinged?" with "Wherever I am is the center of dings" - RUN AWAY FROM ME!!
