yea I was DR today but I feel like my LSAT is misleading, I had a much lower score earlier. I'm kind of banking on the URM and some admin falling madly in love with my softs/witty personality.MissLucky wrote:were you DR today? if so, and if the batch system is correct, we are all in. haha...you have legit numbers there...bearsEATtrees wrote:NayBoer wrote:It looks like the last couple weeks they sent acceptances Mon and Wed and mostly rejections on Tue. This held true for Dec 7-9 and Nov 30-Dec 2. There are some stray people on LSN on the wrong day, but it looks like most of them did the day of receipt instead of DR (some of note different DR days in their commentaries).
Feels like DR today is bad. But I'm hoping they abandoned the batch system.
wow that one was downer. lol ok well I'll be drinking heavily when I get that email then... anyone care to join?

So Nay, lemme see if I read your theory right. You're thinking day of DR is a possible clue? Rather than, say day of postmark?NayBoer wrote:It looks like the last couple weeks they sent acceptances Mon and Wed and mostly rejections on Tue. This held true for Dec 7-9 and Nov 30-Dec 2. ZOMG just went DR FT RD 171 3.2
What's it mean? If I don't get an email today does that mean I'm not rejected? Or will I have to wait no matter what the method of communication is?
complete 11/9, UR shortly after (11/18?)

For all of your sakes, I hope Nay is wrong. But for mine, I hope he is right. I'm still UR 12/10.

Wait, you're 171/3.6/URM? Umm, you might be YP but otherwise that's in. Look at the LSN scoreboard, that's in without URM.bearsEATtrees wrote:yea I was DR today but I feel like my LSAT is misleading, I had a much lower score earlier. I really hope this means the batch system is over. I love Georgetown and it'd be fun to go back to DC.

I just realized how appropriate it is that I'm very pessimistic and my username starts with 'Nay.' That wasn't on purpose.Delinquent wrote:So Nay, lemme see if I read your theory right. Yes, if you follow the LSN Applicants list and sort descending by decision date, you see a pattern where Mon and Wed are good, Tue is bad, and Thu and Fri are smaller but mostly positive. I haven't looked super closely at it.
Also, from earlier in this thread the 11/30 DRs (Monday) were all in and the 12/1 DRs (Tuesday) were out but had to wait like a week before getting the email.
Here's hoping the batch system is dead.

Dear Chinagator:
The Committee on Admissions has reviewed your application and has placed your name within a special group on our Preferred Waiting List.
So what are my chances??

Whoops, hah. I meant that the Monday-good, Tuesday-bad system. I hope the day of the week curse is ended, and may the batch system forever reign.MissLucky wrote:why would you hope the batch system is over if we have a 171/3.6/URM with us? lol EMBRACE her and this DR day! hahaha

I don't know, but that sounds like a good thing. I would assume they draw from that list before the normal one? Maybe?chinagator wrote:Dear Chinagator:

I heard about that weeklong wait...was that an anomaly? How long should we expect?NayBoer wrote:I just realized how appropriate it is that I'm very pessimistic and my username starts with 'Nay.' Never mind, just got the email. Preferred waitlist. I'll take it. Glad I only had to wait a couple minutes...they were excruciating.

My email said the preferred waitlist is a "recent initiative." Maybe they haven't done it before this cycle.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
