My JS1 interview is tomorrow and I haven't been added by anyone on skype. Should I be concerned? Also is there any way for me to know who I will be interviewing with/what their interview style is?

You should be added later today.Ren wrote:My JS1 interview is tomorrow and I haven't been added by anyone on skype. Should I be concerned? Also is there any way for me to know who I will be interviewing with/what their interview style is?
No way to know who you'll be interviewing with until they pop up. As to "style," I'll leave that up to others to answer. I haven't seen much on differences between interviewers, and that's possibly because the differences aren't that significant.

Thanks BOM! So I should just prepare for generic "Why Harvard? "Why law?" "Tell us about work" questions?

If my experience is anything to go by, the questions are fairly predictable. I don't recall seeing mentions of curveballs on this thread or the general interview thread created some time ago.Ren wrote:So I should just prepare for generic "Why Harvard? "Why law?" "Tell us about work" questions?

If you have work experience much of the focus will be on that. There will be a bit of "why law/what do you want to do with your JD" sort of thing. It will seem to go by very fast. Also, make sure you have a good set of thoughtful questions ready to go at the end, since they'll leave about 5 minutes for your questions.Ren wrote:Thanks BOM! Also, I have been out of school for a few years and was asked what I think the hardest part about going back to school will be.

So looking at the H spreadsheet, it looks like only 1 172 has been admitted so far. Is that correct?

If true, this would make me incredibly, albeit irrationally, happy, thinking that they are saving all 172s for a huge, and imminent, wave of JS2s.Nooblarzlarz wrote:So looking at the H spreadsheet, it looks like only 1 172 has been admitted so far. Is that correct?

My application was complete mid-November. I got my invitation the last week of November and had my interview on 12/11.Mort_the_Tort wrote:when was your JS1 invitation vs. JS1 interview ?

Quick Question: For those who have had JS1s, how did your interviewer end the conversation? (i.e. We"ll get back to you soon, etc.)

Something like "Thank you very much for taking the time to meet with me and talk today, I really appreciated getting to meet face to face. Have a wonderful day."yankihote wrote:Quick Question: For those who have had JS1s, how did your interviewer end the conversation? (i.e. We"ll get back to you soon, etc.)

If only. Mine was more like "We look forward to getting back to you later in the cycle."lawschool22 wrote:Something like "Thank you very much for taking the time to meet with me and talk today, I really appreciated getting to meet face to face. Even better plot twist: ls22 is JS and the real motive behind the spreadsheets was to stay apprised of what other schools are up to this cycle.midwest17 wrote:paglababa is clearly JSGary wrote:Guessing?paglababa wrote:JS2s this friday guys.
