Columbia not accepting me ED was the best thing that happened to me this cycle. Still hurts to not get in at all though after waiting 5 months :?

How many ED folks are still waiting? Didn't get reserved, but my rejection letter is probably just in the mail...

I was, but not sure if that actually makes a difference. Does anyone know?

I'm not sure what first reserved means.

Was there a special indication on your decision letter that made specific mention to first reserved rather than simply reserved?

If I remember correctly, as the summer progresses, CLS will reject some of you and place some others on Second Reserve, then, later, still more on Third Reserve and reject others before ultimately accepting some.

I believe. I don't remember if some acceptances come throughout the summer or only at the end of all of the Reserves.

damn all these ED -> deferred -> reserves... I didn't get reserved, which makes me think i'm getting a straight up rejection via snail mail. are any other deferred EDers still waiting?

So dings are still coming via snail mail, yes? But WL and acceptance are through email? I know that's what all these posts imply I just wanted to triple check...

Does Columbia status checker ever update past 'complete'? I'm sitting in the hold pile since March and was wondering what if they've actually dinged me by now (snail mail takes ages to get here)...

No, complete is their last update. That status will not change. You can call or email and they'll let you know if a decision has been mailed.

How long does it usually take after being accepted to receive fin aid info? I submitted need access and FAFSA, but is there an additional CLS specific form I'll have to fill out? Thanks!

A really long time. I don't have mine still, and I submitted everything relatively on-time (early March).

There is a specific CLS questionnaire on the admitted students site. Do you have credentials yet for that? If not let me know and I can email the pdf.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
