Honestly, this is more and more looking like an acceptance batch, everyone has stellar scores, its going to be pretty darn nuts if Chicago has like an acceptance batch for 10 people on TLS and only one reject. Why batch me in with them? I'm actually pretty excited right now.

Im definitely not a sho-in, 170 3.7. A friend of mine who updated today is 171 3.5. These UR updates might really be random.

Umm, its not random. Everyone whose been udpated for the most part has been in the 3.5+ range and 170+ range, with the majority (like 90%) being at 175+. And if you look at the guys with 171s, like Reed, he has been out of undergrad for 5-9 years with work exp etc... so that makes him even more of a candidate for this school.

IMO, this seems like good news to me, being in this batch should be encouraging.

^ Your scores aren't bad at all? 3.59, 169, if you look at Chicago's graphs they do accept people with your numbers. Don't lose hope.

For what it's worth, I'm a 4/1 3.6/177

At this point I would say if they really do go by batches, being in any large batch is bad news, as there are probably very few spots left.
