Both. You don't *need* one for the closer neighborhoods, but it's much easier. You can always find someone to carpool with, though!buckiguy_sucks wrote:When you guys say "need a car" wrt to these neighborhoods do you mean for school or for other things? My SO moving with me has a car that I could never take to school but could take like shopping etc.

What does living in the loop mean? Sorry. I am from the West Coast and know close to nill about St. Louis.LET'S GET IT wrote:I would push back a little on that. If socializing really often is super important to you, then sure, live in the loop. But if you have a car, the grove would be a good area to live in. I live like ~5 miles from campus, and it has never stopped me from doing anything with friends. As long as you have a car, you'll be fine imo.scottidsntknow wrote:I wouldn't 1L just because most people will be in the loop or in cwe, so you'll always have to drive elsewhere to do stuff with people.20180Labc wrote:Matriculating in the fall and looking for a place to live. Would you recommend living in the grove? I found a couple of places there, but I want to live somewhere safe.
What would we type into Craigslist when we are searching for places in the loop? University City?

If you live by metro that'd be fine to take to/from school. I'm 100% ok with metroing to/from school, so for me not having a car is more frustrating for everything else.PourMeTea wrote:Both. ETA actually you maybe don't search for that I don't live there either and just wanted to look smart and should've let someone who lives there answer
For St. Louis natives, what's the ordering from nicest to least nicest for housing right around WUSTL campus? This would be helpful to get a sense for housing.

Sounds like my hood ! This happened to me two weeks ago. The only difference is that I didn't open the door, I was scared. .scottidsntknow wrote:Last time I was at Birdnals' house I think some cracked-out woman was banging on the door and he helped her find a cab/bus home

Wrt to the bit about external keyboards, I just wanted to say: Don't be that guy. People will remember you if you bring a "machine gun" to the final. Trust me on this one--you don't want to be remembered in that way by our classmates.

I sent an email, got confirmation of receipt, got the bump to full tuition.LawsRUs wrote:For those who tried soliciting for an increase in merit based aid, any success??
All of these things happened.
But I still don't know for sure if i caused it since so many people got the bump the same day without soliciting. Either way I'm happy

If you don't mind me asking, was the bump significant? Were you close to a full ride before?tealeaves12 wrote:I sent an email, got confirmation of receipt, got the bump to full tuition.LawsRUs wrote:For those who tried soliciting for an increase in merit based aid, any success??

The Loop is the southern side of university city basically.LET'S GET IT wrote:Where does university city fit into this list?tkim88 wrote:In order of niceness (my opinion)buckiguy_sucks wrote:tkim88 wrote:

Richmond Heights is next to maplewood, so I'd put it on that line.

This week has been a sustained breakdown. I wish I had known how awful graded LRW was before selecting a law school.scottidsntknow wrote:Meh. Getting off of the internet now to work on it. Graded legal writing is soul crushing tbh.LawsRUs wrote:How are your briefs coming along?
