Is it at all possible I got dinged when they sent out rejections on Friday? I have no access to my mail. I'm still on complete, and I did not receive that e-mail and submitted back in early November. It seems all the no e-mail people have heard one way or another.

I'm no email, 11/22 submission, and still on complete. Seems like the people who got dinged had status checker updates telling them that.Mr. Somebody wrote:Is it at all possible I got dinged when they sent out rejections on Friday? I hope you're right. I'm thinking of calling admissions, since the Dean's post said no-email people would get a decision within a week...cerealdan wrote:I'm no email, 11/22 submission, and still on complete. I know this has probably already been discussed, but does anyone know how and when Michigan notifies you of scholarship money?

I applied early November (like the 4th?) and got my status checker 11/22. I didn't receive the email and am still complete, so I emailed them the other day. They said they're still reviewing mine

I hope you guys calling admissions and e-mailing them with things like "I didn't get the e-mail, everyone that did not get the e-mail has heard one way or another" realize that making these phone calls sets you apart and not in a good way.
You have to understand that admissions departments are ridiculously busy right now and you're calling/emailing them to justify your TLS insanity.
Think about it, people not on TLS are not calling because if they didn't get the e-mail they don't even know such an email existed. If they did, they don't know about all the conspiracy theories. Just hold tight and wait for an answer and take out your frustration on TLS but don't call the admissions offices. That's my $.02

How does it set you apart? I don't plan on giving them my name. They made a blog post saying we would hear within a week, its perfectly justifiable to follow up and find out what's going on.JoeMo wrote:I hope you guys calling admissions and e-mailing them with things like "I didn't get the e-mail, everyone that did not get the e-mail has heard one way or another" realize that making these phone calls sets you apart and not in a good way.

You should get a letter in a week or so explaining the scholarship. It's $15,000 each year so $45,000 total. Congrats!

Unless you're a summer starter, it could be 10K a year.aekea wrote:You should get a letter in a week or so explaining the scholarship. It's $15,000 each year so $45,000 total. Congrats!
Since it's per semester, and the first year is technically 3 semesters, they show 3 semesters' worth of your scholarship.
Either way, congrats!

Also received scholarship information!
$22,500/year so that pretty much seals the deal for me. I hope to see all of you in Ann Arbor this fall!

Ok TLS, talk me down from this. Are we sure that if we see a scholarship in the financial aid section of the admitted students website that it's for real? Because if so I just got a 15,000 Dean's scholarship and I'm not sure I can handle this oh my god

Yep, sounds like $15,000 a year. Though someone said it might be different if you're a summer starter. Congratulations!

I'm 3.3 174. I kind of can't process this; I was so ready to pay sticker for t14 and hoping for something like MAYBE a few thousand at Cornell. This is the first time in this whole process that I've really been like, floored by good news.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
