I doubt it is--they probably want to wait for the letter to get there first, and then send info. I wouldn't put too much stock into it.

Finally UR 01/19/2011 after processing since late November. Not expecting good news, but at least something is going on, right?

No postmark date, IIRC. Was sent via "priority mail" or something like that.

But is NYU like Columbia in that sometimes their need-based aid may show a bias towards merit applicants?

Also - I'm planning to defer for a year anyway, so I guess I would have to redo all this next year?
I called and you DO need to fill out the NeedAccess form even if you are only trying for merit aid. You do not need to fill out the parental information if you are trying for merit aid only, though. She said that they will begin to release aid information in March.

They do come really quickly though. I'm in Cali and mine came on Saturday.

Same here. I emailed them after 6.5 weeks of processing. It seems that they were just really, really slow to get updates from LSAC. A late letter (meaning first week of december) was "only recently received" - though all my other schools processed it in a timely manner. Not sure how this affects my application or scholarship money.

anyone plan on attending the ASWs? If so, which days? Also, I didn't see anything about a travel stipend, should I assume there isn't one????

PS the admitted site is pretty sleek!

The site's really nice!

I'm thinking of the April 14 & 15, since those don't conflict with a lot of the other schools I'm looking at. But I'll be in town for all of them, so we'll see...

If your girlfriend is 15 and you are 38, consensual or not that's rape buddy.

^fixed it

hahahah @ Knock

& seriously some sort of RSVP / calendar function for ASWs on TLS would be wildly popular (or dulc could just make them for the few she is going too....)

I have not yet run after any vomit-colored envelopes! And hopefully if I receive one before Monday, it'll be more of the lurking-in-the-lobby-and-creeping-out-my-postal-carrier, versus the running down Broadway I got to experience in December.

I keep it classy.

I'm under the impression that neither Stig nor Dulcatis is underage.

So here's the form for RSVPing:

& here's the spreadsheet with the summary:

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
